Confession Time

I must confess that lately when I watch movies or rather I deliberately watch movies because I am addicted to cinematography and that's where most of my attention goes.

For example the movie Genius (2016). Have you watched it? Its cinematography is just stunning. So beautiful.

I agree but shouldn't I be paying more attention to the story than the cinematography?

I confess to being hopelessly loyal to AT&T cellular service for 26 years despite their high rates for poor Internet connectivity during peak evening hours in my work zone. It’s all part of my scheme to artificially up my already ginormous poast count so that @paranoidandroid 2.0 will have a harder time overtaking me. You will see the method to my madness when quadruple poasts appear for no apparent reason.

Which one? The Michael Keaton one has always been my favorite since I was a kid.

Christian Bale was cool but his throat cancer voice got tiresome after a while.
This one

Thumbs up for Michael Keaton. He is the guy. Not really sure that I have a favorite. I think Christian Bale is wonderful. Big Kev has the one true Batman voice. Put them all together for the ultimate Batman. WOW.

A few years ago my wife’s sister brought her new victim over for dinner. Just an informal one, so I decided to make fajitas. He was an annoying tree hugger vegan type, and quite arrogant with it. I got so ****** off with him and his holier than thou attitude that I decided to put some pieces of real chicken in his fake chicken fajitas. He didn’t notice.

I suspect Marian Vajda did exactly the same with Djokovic. ;)

Now that you mention it, my wife and sons are turning vegan. I am desperate.

Sometimes I type up posts with no intention of posting those. They are sometimes funny, sometimes not so flattering, more reactionary etc. I just do it for fun and then I delete those. But there were a few times in the past when they got leaked by mistake when I forgot to take them off before posting my next post or revised post on the same thread. Happened a few times here. One time NN got seriously upset. Lmho! But I did apologize for it once it was out in the open.

Every one of Sir David Lean’s 1960s classics still take my breath away with their landscape cinematography, admirably handled by his compadre Freddie Young on his three best (LofA, Dr. Z and Ryan’s Daughter).

I've seen it. Beautiful, yes.

Some of my favourites are Legend of the Falls, The Last Emperor, Dances with Wolves, The English Patient, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button etc. but these are big name movies. I love the little unknown gems too.

It's such a creative field, really. This is my number one favourite thing as far as movies are concerned followed by the soundtracks. There's a lot to absorb from a movie. I noticed how a simple seemingly innocent song can make a scene utterly creepy to the point you can't listen to the same song in the same manner again. Like how one of Roy Orbison's songs - In Dream - was used in the movie Blue Velvet. That moment is so tense (those who watched it know what I am talking about) and takes its peak once the song starts.

Creative editing really can heighten emotion as well; good directors spend the majority of their time in post-production working in tandem with their editor and score composer to fluff what the cinematographer has captured into the final product.

God, I so forgot about the editing part. I love that part of the work so much. This reminds me that I need to download the Lightroom CC. I've already gone through quite a few tutorials. It's time I put it to work.
