Confession Time

I confess, I don’t have enough vested interest here to having a falling out with someone. I really don’t pay too much attention to who says what. More just what is said.
i confess, ttw's quite interesting 2 read while eating like 4 or 5 times a day following the not-so-old quote 'eat less but often' to cheat my mil yrs old genes responsible for storing fat in order to survive. if not read ttw, i'd watch news or tennis matches:love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love:.....................

ur post reminds me a 000s yrs old chinese quote 'no 600 ounces silver buried here', still frequently used nowadays. saying a guy worried abt his 600 ounces silver getting stolen so buried it in his yard n still felt not safe enough, then he erected a sign pole saying 'no 600 ounces silver buried here'..............lolololololol manohman:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D.......................

('此地无银三百两', ci di wu yin san bai liang. 1 'liang' = ~2 ounces)

There's no fallout. I don't hang out on a regular basis. I am not even here half the time. Just wanted to clear the air.
the follow-up/update of dat 000s yrs old quote: zara knocked his door then told him: 'i didn't see ur sign, so apparently i wouldn't know u buried the 600 ounces silver there':-D:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D...................................

I confess, I pretended to be sick yesterday morning when work called me to substitute for another colleague because at that moment I was walking towards a roller coaster.

I must confess that today I got to learn that there are no Nadal fans or Djokovic fans. Only Federer haters. I did wonder about Murray fans but we are so insignificant. Perhaps an ant compared to the Universe of Federer.

Well, this has been highly enlightening.

I confess to eavesdropping to the following...

I went lingerie shopping this last Friday and I was at Hudson's Bay trying out some of those and then I overheard a lady talking to the sales assistant who was trying to help her out just next door. Something didn't fit so she said in broken English, 'I was bigger than this but my breasts are becoming smaller as I age.' She took a pause and I thought, 'oh really?' and then she said, 'I am 72 after all and 40DD feels big now'. And I started giggling in the next room. I mean goodness, do you really want to worry about breast sizes at that age? It was very sweet though come to think of it.

She must have been a big girl. I didn't get to see her in the end. I think I forgot about it.

72 being the typical middle age would be quite nice, really. I'd like to live longer while staying healthy, mind you so that I could achieve many other things my heart truly desires.

There are good days and then there are bad days. And there are dull days like today.

Monday is manic monday, Wednesday is hump day, Thursday is Friday Jr. what is Tuesday then?

I’d like take pictures of the homeless people and you know, capture their stories. Not sure how to approach to those without risking myself too much. I need an assistant.

Wednesday the best day of the week by far.
Monday- first day of the working week. Ugh
Tuesday- only second day. Still got three more to go if I manage to get through today
Thursday- so close to Friday, yet so far. Gives Tuesday a good run as the worst day of the week
Friday- I’m knackered
Saturday- goes too quick
Sunday- tomorrow is Monday

Really? You find Wednesday the best? I am okay with it. I really like Friday the most because the whole weekend is ahead of me. And I don't feel as knackered.

But you are so dead-on about Sunday.

Why do we live this way?

I put 2 people on ignore today and have got 3 more on my mind. I am the new Ann in town.

Just want to see the world through Ann's eyes. Why not.

I confess to not having a beer in a very long time. I mean I like men but I relate to wine better.

To be or not to be - that’s the question.

Very recently I had to be in a very controlled environment for a few hours. I controlled my emotions so much that I wasn’t even able to recognize myself. Very quiet, very subdued. Every word was carefully chosen and every sentence was carefully constructed. Very political if you will. And not my usual bubbly self.

Later I thought to myself, is that how others are? And I felt confused inside. It then reminded me of Socrates’ famous quote, I to die, you to live - which is better only God knows. Which is better, really? To be yourself just the way you are? Or to be something else that you aren’t? Latter seems to be more socially acceptable or so it seems.

Anyway, funny that he mentioned God there but anyway.

I must confess that when I am unhappy I tend to withdraw. I retract. I go through the withdrawal symptoms and eventually, I withdraw. I vanish.

I must confess that I find the idea of ‘the greatest’ really off putting. It just undermines all others and everything else. Why people are so obsessed with it is something I will probably never find out. But perhaps we are hard wired to worship anything we see that is greater than us.

Are we then just modest or just plain suffer from self low esteem? Only God knows.

yup mam, the definition of 'live' will be gradually upgraded/revised to 'staying healthy, mind you so that I could achieve many other things my heart truly desires' not the current 1s in hospital bed full of pipes/needles/wires..........moving to dat direction already like euthanasia etcetc n a lot more coming:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D....................

I must confess that I hate this auto correct thing on my phone. Where do I even begin?

I am at our annual Townhall meeting and a colleague of mine came a bit late and was looking for my table and I texted her, ‘I am sitting back far left corner’ but my phone decided to send her the following message, ‘I am sitting in the fat lady corner’.

FFS.

I was on the flat earth thread just reading from time to time as I am little busy at work and last time I checked just a few minutes ago and thought, 'well, this is going to get nuked really fast' and I wanted to post a message at the same time and guess what - 'oops, we ran into a problem. The thread cannot be found.' Lmho!

This is quite clearly my report back thread. lmho

I have realized and greatly so though I was always aware anyway, that the first instinct happens to be the best one and the most accurate one.

Now I am not in favour of people putting on ignore but as part of my latest experiment as well as a couple of other things have made me do so. I won't mind sharing my ignore list btw and here they are:

-Suresh
-Fedfosterwallace
-Stringertom

-dgold (haven't done it as he's too entertaining but will probably do so eventually)
-unable to reveal this one (but this one too requires a bit more observation to see if the entertainment value is higher than the ignore feature)

Now I must admit that the threads do look bizarre as you have no idea who they are talking to and frankly, I can't imagine having 50 of them on Ignore as I think Beatlesfan has it. Forget Ann. lmho

Then don’t do anything on the weekend. Slow it down. Eat a long breakfast. Stare at the nature while listening to the music. Enjoy the silence. Appreciate the moment. Watch a very slow paced movie. Avoid talking to girlfriend.

Road to Perdition won the best cinematography award in 2002 so this then makes it a must see for me but I am too reluctant on the subject matter.

So I changed my mind 3 times this morning about the same thing and next thing you know, I was called a chameleon that changes colour. Apparently chameleons change their colours to suit their mood. And they are capable of changing the colour at the cellular level at will. How intriguing. Something to think about.

I’m very conflicted here. First you say listen to music. Then you say appreciate the silence. Which music do you suggest
