Confession Time

Gonna bail at the last moment. I just found out she listens to the chainsmokers. I don’t have time for that
Are there still chainsmokers? God here I thought they’d all died and went to hell. I feel like smoking a ciggie though.

Yes, that’s the right thing to do. She makes you do stuff after all.

I confess that I am not a sweets person.

I have tried those and the wasabi version as well. It was years ago and they were good, but had way too much sugar. I don't like things that are too sweet; a sip of soda tastes like poison. The Seaport Farms Wasabi Edamame is high in protein, very low in carbs, and I really like the taste. Probably the most "sugary" thing I enjoy is pizza. Chinese food in American restaurants tends to be very high in sugar, much more so than in China, but I lalso really enjoy it. Those are probably the two least unhealthy things I eat.
Yeah, I don't eat it all the time.. only when I want to indulge. Still a more healthy alternative than the bucket of movie theatre popcorn. Oh man, don't get me started on Chinese food.. you guys have the absolute best up there. Remember going to Yuet Lee as a college student and had salt pepper shrimp with melon ball soup. Life changing moment.

I confess one time I took a huge leak in a potted plant at the 3rd floor of the JFK Airport Hilton, but I was really really drunk. I'm just confessing because I'm sure that crime has already prescribed.
I had a similar incident when I was in my early twenties involving Stockholm Palace. It was the middle of the night and involved a Danish woman and a Stockholm Palace wall. I'll leave it at that as I am still embarrassed to even mention this much on a public forum.

I sometimes ask obvious or stupid questions as to not draw too much attention to the fact that I'm actually a seemingly know it all freak, when it comes to certain things. Certainly tennis, here and especially at my local club lol...

I confess to thinking I was a walking encyclopedia of tennis history. Then I encountered @Moose Malloy . He is the master!

legalization of marijauna will bring back chainsmoking. . . more carcinogenic, too. .. so I'm hoping there'll be a multi-billion dollar payout to the states due to public health damages caused by the industry.

I'm a bit of a cinematography addict too, I'd suggest pan's Labrynth (so?) and apocalypto (Mel gibson's ). Let me know what you think if you've seen or see them
No haven’t seen either of them but aware of them. I am also a bit sensitive to subject matters so avoid certain kinds of movies but these are okay. I typically avoid Mel Gibson’s movies but the cinematography in his films is worth watching.

Not sure it's something I should boast about, but... hehe yeah. I couldn't find my room in time (wonder why )

Another time I got stuck in this huge traffic jam in the interstate after two big rigs blocked all lanes, and I had to release in an XL Carl's Jr. soda cup while skillfully ascertaining that no SUVs or trucks with a good view of my crotch were in the vicinity. (NOTE: urinating in public in Crazyfornia is punished as a sex crime. Yeah, you heard right.)

This is my car from yesterday all frozen due to the freezing rain. I scraped off as much as possible so that it's drivable. Rest melted overnight but there's still some left.

You either meant to post in the Picture Thread or you are confessing that you are an ice scraper... despicable! ;)

Hey! It's relevant because just yesterday I confessed here that I don't always like Canadian weather and mentioned the freezing rain that was hitting us like little tiny ice bullets from all directions.

So it makes sense that I show what I went through yesterday after getting off work. It took me nearly half an hour just to scrape that much off - not to mention, I kept sliding and gliding due to wearing really the wrong pair of shoes (FFS) while cleaning.

Why don't you just be a dear and clean off rest of the car? I shall pay you with love. I've got plenty of it. My cup runneth over.

FTFY?

All overrated. I do however admire Rawlings’ imaginative mind. Do you suppose she channels?

I watched Genius last weekend - a film about the writer Thomas Wolfe and the cool editor of his time Max Parkins and I could tell Thomas was channeling all his stuff. He always seemed to be in the zone.

Do you wonder about these things?
To a point really. I do wonder what the authors were feeling emotionally when writing stories. Particularly thrillers. Like where they got all of their inspiration and ideas from. Is it something personal that happened to them that’s been adapted, do they just have an imaginative mind etc. I’m not very imaginative myself so I do find it intriguing what deep worlds people can go into within their own minds. But I’m still not convinced the stuff taught at school regarding ‘the colour of the curtains ‘ reflecting the mood of some past event or some other crap. I don’t think any author cared about such minute irrelevant details.

I won't be vulgar if you are not vulvar. Deal?

Confession time: I am prone to scatological and lecherous remarks of all kinds.

Reminder time: @Zara can't castigate me in this thread for the aforementioned, much as a priest can't turn a thief to the authorities when such knowledge is bestowed upon him through confession.
Zara will castigate anyone as she sees fit.

I'd say they get an idea (can be from anything, really) and they expand on it (the details). And I don't feel they even themselves know what's next as far as, say, a particular plot is concerned. They most probably let it flow. Let it come to them naturally, in other words.

Thomas Wolfe, for example, he was very intense and would write millions of words within a very short period of time and this was the primary reason why no one would publish his books because they were just too big for the audience. And I noticed he'd get inspired by everything and looked at things very differently. His reality was very different than most people because he interpreted those differently. Some people are just very imaginative and have the ability to create from almost nothing, like God.

He also died quite early I would say as a result of brain tuberculosis or something similar (strange disease). He was only 38.

Your story sounds far more pleasant. Something you could tell your grandchildren? Mine? Not so much.

How’s that work...#1 gets you sex offender status but #2 is OK???
I have no idea, I've heard this second hand, and I'm not knowledgeable about the small print in the law. As far as I am concerned I am not flashing my salami in public anytime soon just in case. What @sureshs said about it only being a sex offense if it's done in a lewd way is not very useful, because if you are in public holding your business it could be interpreted as a lewd act by most people anyway.

I had better never order a foot-long salami hero if I visit CA...could cause some confusion while munching down.

I confess that I have admitted myself to boxing classes so that I can kick some asses here.

Muahahahahhaha :p

DO NOT MESS WITH ME! DO NOT!

When I was a kid we were made to go to confession to confess our sins. Being a bit nervous and not knowing what to say I made up some lies to say that would sound credible at the time.
It worked because I had one Our Father and 3 Hail Mary's to do as penance afterwords. I also made the mistake of having too much of a loud voice so everyone outside the confessional could here what I was saying. I must have been about 12 at the time.
