Confidential vs. Hyper G soft

Ok so last two strings I’m thinking about testing for my daughter are solinco confidential and hyper-G soft, and wanted some input on these two before trying them. The crosses with be Dunlop NT Max Plus with both of them. She is strung now at 58 mains 56 crosses. That’s with VS touch and Dunlop NT MP. Thanks

Confidential will feel stiffer in comparison but not as good to pocket the ball. If you are doing a hybrid, it maybe better to use Confidential as Hyper soft may just feel too soft and lose out on power. I only use full bed poly. But I was on both playtest for Confidentialand Hyper G Soft. My regular choice is regular Hyper G 17g.

I currently have Hyper-G soft in a hybrid with Vanquish multi's and compared to my usual setup of RPM Blast Rough/NXT Comfort it feels softer (both strung at 51/53 on PSGen3). It sounds and feels like the HG Soft is sliding around more than the RPM so that took some time to get used to. Overall a nice string and if doing a full poly bed the HG Soft would be a good choice, for me I'm thinking of trying Confidential/Vanquish hybrid as my arm doesn't do well w/full poly bed. Overall I think Solinco makes some great strings at great prices, Babolat/Wilson have really gotten up there and with me typically breaking a string ~2 weeks or so it gets pricey.

Solinco's strategy for developing and releasing new strings confuses me. Just in terms of shaped spin poly there is now: Tour Bite, Tour Bite Soft, Tour Bite Diamond, Confidential, Hyper-G, and Hyper-G Soft. And that doesn't even include Revolution and Barb Wire, which are on the TW website but I've never heard anyone mention. Could they split up the shaped spin poly market segment any finer?

Was also on both the Confidential and Hyper-G Soft playtests like @mogo and agree that Confidential is stiffer and crisper. Other attributes, like power level, launch angle, spin capability, and tension maintenance, are relatively close between the two as a full bed, which is the only way I've played with them. HGS fits in between the gap of Hyper-G and Confidential in terms of feel and if your daughter is a junior player, would probably be a safer string to start with as Confidential is going to have more impact harshness than HGS.

I’m on the other camp and prefer Confidential over HGS. At the end of the day both HyperG and HGS plays too muted for my liking. I will take crisp feel all day long. Having said that, no matter what you go with, assuming your intend is to string the mains with either Solinco strings, you’re going to have to tension down. 58 lbs for any junior player will not be healthy.
