Congrats on #24 but it is quite boring to have Djokovic win everything.

I don't find it boring at all. We're watching history in the making. I've never been a huge fan of his but I'd be happy watching him make it to #30. I doubt he will but you never know.

I wonder what is better for Tennis. An all-time great winning a slam, or players like Rune and Sinner actually winning it.

Boring old Djokovic will continue to win almost everything until the rest of the field have the skills and the guts to stand up to him and stop him! Will we ever see that day???

From time to time, there will be a guy who beats him on a given day. But, we should just be prepared for the idea that he’s not going anywhere anytime soon. He can win couple of slams a year (on average) for the next 2-3 years. Personally, I’ve accepted this likely eventuality quite some time ago.

At this point, Nole will keep winning major after major, barring a big injury. Only Carlitos and a yet unknown junior are his only roadblocks.
Again: Gracias por proteger el record de Roger en Wimbledon por al menos un año, Carlitos. Me diste la mejor alegría del año.

He almost dropped dead on the court in the second set, so not so much gas left in the tank.

He is not going to retire as long as his body serves him well. It is a bit of an issue if the only thing that stops him in the end is old age and not consistent beat-downs by younger guys.
Injuries as a result of age are what stopped every player in tennis besides Borg.

It was more boring to watch Djokovic play between 2012-2014 when he was prone to playing more defensively even when he was the #1 player in the world. He has been more fun to watch since he hired Becker who made him a more offensive player. He is even more entertaining now as he wants to keep points short to preserve his aging legs against younger foes. His FH, big serving and net game are more fun than ever.

Djokovic is not outlasting opponents anymore - he is kicking their ass and taking names as evidenced by his straight set wins in three Slam finals against top 5 players. His FH is as aggressive as it has ever been and he is outhitting everyone except possibly Alcaraz on that wing.

Not boring for me and many others. I bet you nobody would have ever posted this "observation" if it was Fed or Nadal.

I actually think it will be a problem for tennis that very few people will care about one-time winners in the future, and you cannot even impress the world anymore by winning 5 or even 10 Slams. That's how much the Big 3 dominance has changed perspectives of many fans. And I cannot exclude myself here either.

So I think Djokovic remaining on top as the last man standing of the Big 3 will prolong the popular era of tennis, while new faces (apart from maybe Alcaraz) cannot gain much interest if they only fight against each other one day.

Depends on whether they are a Nadal or Fed fan I guess.
However, the point is, irrespective of who is winning, when the same player wins repeatedly and easily people will find it boring.
Prior to the USO final most wanted to see a Djokovic/Alcaraz match because that would be competitive.
Once the result of a tournament repeatedly becomes predictable and anti climactic, it’s boring for many fans.
Whether or not you like the player who is winning in straight sets, time and again isn’t the issue. Both the WB and Cincinnati finals were exciting; AO, RG and the USO finals were not. Take Carlos out of the mix and Novak just wins in straights. It’s not Novak’s fault, but there is only one player active at the moment who can make a real competition out of it.
Sport is all about competition; remove that to the point where one person strolls to victory over and over and yes, people get bored.
If you take my meaning.

This is starting to happen with the mickey mouse tournaments too it feels like. Can't be arsed to care as much about the smaller events because they don't feel relevant anymore.

On TV yes, kind of pointless to watch them. But in person attendance is different.
Most people will never have a chance to attend a slam or masters match so smaller tournaments are quite well attended(i have been a few times to Vienna, arena is huge and sf and f matches were always sold out).

Problem is ATP doesn't seem to care about 250s/500s by their latest decisions, calendar changes.

Djok's better than the rest, right now. As to why that is, I will reserve judgement.

Are there still things that are just as they seem?

what is better for tennis is reality. and the reality is that almost no one can touch our ATGs.
