Great playing through the whole tournament, she becomes the second highest ranked (#58) Romanian player after Simona Halep!

Eugenie Bouchard didn't play too shabby either and showed great fighting spirit and FH (weaker BH though).

Patricia is also the third ranked mom after Serena and Azarenka and apparently with no sponsor played in some plain shorts and t-shirts.

Husband and coach, Razvan Sabau, former ATP #74, lost the Gstaadt final against Wawrinka. They have a daughter Sofia.

Congratulations Tig. Anyone remembers her run in Bucarest last year? She wasn't even ranked before the tournament (0 WTA point) She won 3 matchs in Q and 4 matches in the main draw (7 wins in a row) to reach the final. (Lost to Rybakina) I read it was the first time it happened (a player going throigh the Q and reaching a final when she has no ranking)
She won the title in Karlsruge (WTA125) a few weeks later. This time she won her first International.

These players have millions in the bank already, unless they have a real passion for tennis, many of them probably see no point in continuing. Bouchard could make a comfortable life off just her looks.

No and she didn't plan to play qualies either as far as I know.
