Congratulations Andy Murray

You did it!

You played a whole tournament with an aggressive gameplan, a solid serve, and, most importantly, with a good attitude - and you won! And you did it against the toughest opponents, too.

I've got to say, after a week of watching Murray practice and some of his matches, he's definitely moved up a few notches in my book. And, hopefully, in some other people's opinion, too.

If you keep it up, mate, then this fat man in the pub will have to find someone else to criticize :)

Congrats Andy, great tournament, deserved victory with fascinating, aggressive tennis!

Blinky saying positive stuff about Murray?

Now it truly feels like the end of the world ;-)
:D - and according to a report elsewhere, Shriekapova stopped shrieking!

Truly the end of the world, yes.

What you bolded and underlined basically sums up what impressed me as well. Congratulations Murray.

What I like the most about Murray is his Underachiever attitude with an awesome game period... I think he is ready to win the US Open... But of course the nerves will be harder to quell...

I find the opening post highly patronising and condescending to Murray....

Murray will push against player's he gets away with pushing against. TBH I don't class that game, pushing anyway, I class it counter attacking, just like in Boxing, you lure the opponent in and then counter punch them.

If you want to call it pushing then fine. He is not a "pusher" against the very best player's in the World because he knows "pushing" won't win.

He plays in respect to the opponent, for Murray tennis is poker, he plays his opponents, not his cards.

I was also impressed. As an avid murray hater myself, I will no longer be able to hate murray playing like this. Pusher murray would have been straight setted today.

Well done, Murray. Proving the "Murray is a pusher" haters wrong.
Indeed, but only if he keeps it up. He's got a real test in a few weeks time.

He needs to forget about that passive junk and stick with the good advice he got from a certain fellow in Toronto
