Congratulations to Rafael Nadal and all his fans

I'm very happy to see Rafa grab a couple more majors. But to me him and Fed were both lucky this year to have Joker and Murray having terrible year and injury problems. It shows how these young guys still can't step up to the big time. Most of the top young players went out in the 1st or 2nd round of the US Open.

IDK why we're not supposed to enjoy the Clay slams. I enjoy them too.
:D

(I took some pictures people have been enjoying - I have to figure out how to post them.)
He really needed another slam off clay though. Hopefully he can get the AO, but either way, he's good now.

Thank you! It is always nice when your favourite has his moment in the sun. I think it is celebrated so hard because we all know that everything will change at the very next slam. That's the way it has been all along for Fedalovic - they are so competitive that one's success causes the other two to react.

Two this year - FO and U.S. Open for Rafa! Finals in AO! A great 2017 for Rafa! Many critics in the commentary in 2016 thought this was the year Rafa declare his retirement on the tour!

I can't understand why a non-clay slam is a shock. His HC play looked great to me at the start of this year, better than in a long time. Nadal was just lacking confidence.

People just don't understand that this is a man who is NOT super confident.

It's not an act.

Frankly, I think if Nadal has 10% more confidence and 10% less intelligence, he might have around 20 slams right now. ;)

Question: how did you fare in the hurricane?

We have power, but everything is a mess. Traffic lights out, large parts of the city with zero power, no cable (meaning no TV), and I don't really want to walk around anywhere for another 24 hours.

Did ok, didn't lose power, finding food places that are open is the hardest thing :p

My wife had to check in at work for a few minutes, and there is a pizza store next door. People were lined up, buying faster than they could make new pizzas.

We got a ton of food, so we are fine, and of course a ton of water. I'm jonesing for TV news. I feel like I'm cut off from the world.

I didn’t see any congrats to Federer and his fans when he won his 5th AO and 8th WB. Oh, I know why because of the bitterness.

Rafa won his 3rd US Open title, but hopefully he'll win 7 more. Thank you in advance! :)

Hahahah! I don't get on here as much as I would like due to work and I have only just seen this. A 10th US Open, what was I thinking?!?
If he wins 7 more I will bump this and it will be pure gold.

Congrats again for the China win, hopefully he is building in confidence and can take some more hard court events.

Goes to show that the game is still dominated by veterans when it matters.
