Gasquet entered the match 1-36 against players ranked #1 or #2 in the world. His lone prior win came in 2005 when he beat #1 Roger Federer 6-7(1), 6-2, 7-6(8) in the quarters at Monte Carlo as a young qualifier.

Maybe the Frenchman still has some quality tennis left in him!
