Continues to baffle...

Well, Rafa does better against the rest of field, especially the next gen than Novak does. So it balances out.
Ummmmmm....Just backing the thread title - baffling the way Rafa can't even get close on HC and players such as Shapo, etc can push him/take a set.....I'd imagine the night before Nole plays Rafa on HC the Nole camp sleeps pretty well....Kind of feels like Nole really doesn't even need to push himself that much on HC against Rafa....HOWEVER i never rule anything out with Rafa or Nole or Fed so who knows in the future :)

Oh.

Djokovic's been an admirable player all along. No bandwagon happening here.

But remember: Nadal gets shellacked by the both of them these days. All good. :)
Really? Because last year the Djokodal H2H was 1-1 and the Fedal H2H was 1-1 which included Nadal handing a bagel to Djoker and him giving a straight sets beat down to Fed. Let's not also forget Rafa's two slams and the YE # 1 - you're right, the other two are so much better...

Even more puzzled how Nishioka pushed Nadal for a set. The guy is only 5'7" and 140 lbs. Yes, he is a scrambler, but you would think Nadal would overpower him easily.
Not the first time! A couple of years ago Nishioka played a very good first set against Nadal in Acapulco. Actually, Nishioka was up a break in both sets that occasion.
