Control oriented racket for advance beginner

Can anyone recommend a control oriented racket for an advanced beginner/early intermediate player? My current racket is a Prince textreme tour 100T. I really like the feel (maybe because I'm used to it) and spin, but I want something with a little more heft but with good control, similar spin and some power. I also want to improve my game by getting better at swinging and strokes. Will a Yonex vcore pro (97 (310) or 100) be too much?

By my estimation I'm at a ntrp 3.0 level.

Thanks

I'm a 3.5 and am finding Pure Strike and Blade to be good mixes of control and spin/power.

Gravity MP, Tour,
Prince Textreme Tour 100, 100P
Wilson Blade
Yonex Vcore Pro 100
Thank you for these suggestions! I'm happy that you suggested the vcore pro. And I'm also waiting for a textreme tour 100 demo unit from tennis warehouse.

Thanks for the suggestion! I tried the previous pure strike 16x19 but felt like it was hurting my arm. I'll look into the Blade next

Volkl PB 10 mid. One of the best control racquets ever. Flexy and smooth as butter too. However, the latter does make it not everyone's cup of tea. It has a totally different feel than most other racquets.

adding to the mix: Head G360 Speed MP and Head G360 Radical S (modified to Speed MP Spec)

They have medium power and quite soft at 63 ra. You can put multi for power or poly for control in it

if you control the ball with spin, take a look at the Babolat range:

Pure Strike = control (combo of spin + power)
Pure Aero = spin oriented frame
Pure Drive = power, but it still gives you a solid amount of spin

the other alley is to play with the string type and tension.

+ eventually to mod your frame.
For example, if you add a bit of lead at 12 o'clock, this is increase the swingweight of your racquet, so you'll be getting more heft.
Or if you add some lead at 3 + 9, same amount of lead will increase the swingweight, though less than at 12, but you should be getting as well a tad more stability from your frame.
In order to counter-balance, and keep same HH or HL balance point, weight is added inside the handle.

I'd consider experimenting with a little bit of lead tape on the frame you're playing with now. A little tailoring will only cost you a few bucks - one pack of the 1/4" tape for the hoop and one pack of 1/2" if you need to counterbalance by weighting the handle. Sometimes I just put lead on my handle and cover it with an overgrip. This isn't a sure-fire solution, but it might bring you some substantial improvements with your Prince. It might also give you a better idea of your own preferences in terms of a racquet's weight and balance.

Yonex seems to make much better than average frames, but demo before you buy if you can. As a confirmed Volkl fan for more than a few years, I recommend a look at their offerings, too.
