=\ This isn't a very good video...

Rally: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8a4CLymTKXs
Serves: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Svndsvm5K2k

There's another one with my other friend that was more consistent so we had longer rallies but that video was too large for youtube. So, anyone know how to resize videos by making them shorter? I really want to post those vids....

Okie, now please tell me what I'm doing wrong. I forgot to take a video of my normal shots since this is just a rally with my friend. Maybe next time. For my backhands, they're okay here(I don't know why), but usually, it is less consistent than my forehand. Anyone have tips on less framing? I frame a lot(not in the video).

Btw, I try to rate myself with the NTRP ratings out here in the internet but I'm probably overrating myself. So according to this rally, what would my NTRP rating be?

Thanks =)

=) Yup! Sadly, I can't upload another vid since the other two are over 100MB.... And I slapped my face on one of those because of an error(those two vids are against a more consistent person)....

1.
Get the program called virtual dub mod. Press the home key to specify the beginning part and press the end key you want the video to end for the split. After you do that go to save file as and perform a direct stream copy (change the option where it says full processing, so you don't reconde the video.)

2.
To re-encode and compress your video to make it smaller to to File and save file as. Then select the compression to X-vid and you are done (make sure it is on full processing<-- should be default). The program will re-encode your video. You will need the x-vid codec installed on your computer to view the avi file on Windoes Media Player.

If your movie is not already compressed then re-encoding the video might fit on youtube otherwise you will need to split the video into parts.

Make sure you extract all the files into a folder. Do not run it straight from the zip file. Also you can view avi files frame by frame with it.
Have you tried it yet?
I used this program to upload my videos of my ground strokes and serves to youtube.

Not bad.

You're not moving back fast enough in position, say when taken to your left (for a BH). The cross-over step should be more aggressive.

Wait, what do you mean by a cross-over step?

A step in which the leftmost leg (which is usually the left after a BH) crosses in front or behind the other leg (normally the right leg after a BH), for a strong push towards the center of the court. Watch Federer in terms of recovery, slow-mo.

Your knees must be well flexed in order to be able to push from the quads and calves for that.

Oooh! =) Thanks!

This may be the reason that I don't do well against people who hit with so much spin that always make me run....

=) Thanks

no offense but ur shots r so high that so many look like baseline lobs or something try to lower it a bit...ur serve looks pretty good. i dont see any volleys, slices, etc. based on what u uploaded, strokes/serves i would say a solid 3.0.

I don't think it's necessary to hit the ball that high. When you mess up and hit it short it looks like a sitter. I think he only volleys when he hits a combination of shots that produce a weak sitter type of player.

Very well done, I suggest a larger take back, more spin/windsheild wiper, and for the high balls either hit those as over heads or hit them flat like Roger

Pretty nice on both sides, from what I can see on the BH. You look like a little Rafa. Just flatten the ball out when you want to be offensive. Everyone here seems to think lower is better, but you only need to worry about that if your opponent comes to the net. Hit to their feet, pass, or lob.

VirtualDub is what I use for editing. It's free and has lots of support/info.

Your forehand is a little loopy like others have said, but you know that. Hit through the ball a little more to put some pace on it.

Your second serve looks really consistent and simple, which is good. Start working on placement and switching up spin and pace and you're on your way.

=D ah! ty. I've been practicing serves lately, and I lost my 1st serves.... I just want to check again, how do you aim your serves again? I seemed to be able to do it on 1st serves back then, but after the 3 day weekend, I lost it.
