Could a new US Mens ATG unite the big three fanbases?

US Men's tennis fans are pretty much divided between Federer (50%), Nadal (45%) and Djokovic (4%).

This is in part due to the total lack of rooting interests on the men's side in the USA.

But what if the USA developed a new superstar ATG on the men's side?

Would the big three fanbases unite as one, leading to the most universally beloved tennis great in US history (due to a lack of competing US men's great from the same generation)?

No. People would despise a new Big 3 level player fairly quickly as he starts dominating the tour. It would be all “weak era this…” and “peak hypothetical Federer/Nadal would have that….”
