Yesterday i was in Play It Again Sports and found a used PS85 in very good condition, it barely has any scuffs on the head. It was a great deal, picked it up for $30!
I didn't know about the whole st.vincent story but when my friend asked me if it was a st. vincent i looked up how to figure out if it indeed was...

This racquet only says Prostaff, and midsize on the throat, it only has the two black stickers on the inside of the throat, im pretty sure it has red primer but i dont really want to scrape it up to find out, the butt cap is white and has a code: GYQ, it has no bumper gaurd, and there is no registered trade mark symbol on the butt cap.
Could this possibly be a Chicago model? Im pretty sure it is atleast a St. Vincent. How much do you guys think this is worth?
Will be posting pictures as soon as i find a digital camera, mine recently passed away.

i have an identical ps 6.0, i´m pretty sure that is a st. vincent, mine has no bumper guard and red primer too. Early st. vincents i guess...

Congrats on your purchase. That's great. I think the expert's here will say you got an SV, based on the code ending in Q. Pics will help them confirm.

My friend's SV has code HOQ.

If all goes well (hopefully) you would have purchased a gem of a racquet. I recommend to clean it up, and keep it in its great condition. Most collectors wish they could even get one of these for maybe $150 or lower.

I showed the racquet to a friend and he comfirmed that it is a St. Vincent. SO i guess since it has no bumper guard it is an early model. How old could it possibly be, 20 years? Im trying to find a camera for pictures, (my camera just died on me. )
Im not trying to sell it but i was curious because i have heard an array of differnt price ranges from the $500 range down to the 170's. Im jsut curious as to how much this is actually worth, it is in great condition.

500$ is a long shot. i picked a couple SV's up for 180$ together, and they are described exactly as you have stated yours. things may have changed since last year though. I sold them for 175$ a pop though.
