Hi, I have a head heavy racquet (9pts) that I would like to counterweight to make a tiny bit head light (2 pts or so). I am new to this, but I am going to remove the grip and butt cap, and add cotton and lead fishing weights. Does anyone know about how much weight I should add to the bottom of the handle to do this? I am using method one in this link:

and this is the racquet:

I have no idea what "9 pts head heavy" means, so if someone could explain that, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

each point head light, is an either of an inch. so 9 points is 1 and 1/8 inches head light. in your case its that much head heavy. if you want to make it 2 points head light, you need to change the balance 11 points, which is quite a task, and will add a lot of weight to the handle of your frame, also if make the frame less stable in the heady so you might want to counterweight it at 3 and 9 to add stability, which in turn means you need even more in the handle. . . perhaps it isnt such a good idea to start with such a head heavy frame, as thats a lot of weight to add. the frame will play completely diffreently after such weight is added.

I don't want to get too much into terminology here so I'll explain the best I can:

Your racquet is head heavy because there is more weight leaning towards the head of your racquet than the handle.(I'm not sure how the whole points metric system works so I won't ever go there.)

So, in order to make it even-balanced or head-light(more weight towards the handle), you need to add weight to the handle of your racquet...whoa

...wait a minute...looks like you already know what head-heavy means...my bad.

If I were you, try adding a lot and continue measuring your racquet on a scale to see how it balances...
