Hey guys, I could really use your help. I just got a hold of 2 Jim Courier Pro Staff 6.6 85 sq. in ( 16x18 ), the stars and stripes version. I want to play with these racquets, and I know they are basically the PS 6.0 85's but with a paint job. In order to play with them I need to get new grommets for them and when I go to the wilson grommet page the only listing for a PS 6.6 is for the 110.

I want to make sure that the pro staff original 6.0 85 grommets will fit this racquet. Can you ease my fear and let me know this is the right grommet for it. Also it says you won't get the PS 85 grommets in till the end of April, any chance they might come in early.

Thanks for all your help
Dave

6.6 isn't a paint job of the PS85, its a totally different racket with a wider beam so I don't think the grommets would fit (without modification anyway), sorry!

I've heard that it's just a modified version of the original PS 85 6.0. Regardless, the string pattern and hole spacing is supposed to be the same, so shouldn't it be the same. If it isn't though, where can I get a hold of some replacement grommets outside of *bay. Any help TW would be great.

Thanks

Rare as hens teeth and the sole reason a guy i knew gave up on his, quite different to the 6.0 but a lovely frame none the less.Congrats on your purchase hope you like them. you can get grommets made for any frame.

If I can't get grommets I don't want to have them made, it just gets too expensive. They are great sticks and I'm thinking of selling them for $100-125.

each, they're in really great shape, just a couple of paint chips, the grommets aren't too worn, I just like to have extra grommets if I'm going to play with them, I tend to scrape the heads, I have like 4-5 replacement set for each racquet I buy

Yes, I've heard of it, I used to use head guard tape. I just now prefer grommets because the weight stays more the same, with head guard tape I don't like how the balance changes. It's just personal preference.

One of our testers used to use that stick and managed to find grommets by posting in the classified section here.

Good luck.
