Court FF VS Gel Res 8 's size HELP

I have the court ff, and when I bought it, someone told me to get half a size smaller because it is slightly longer or something. Anyway I wear a 9-9.5 so I got a 9 and it was good.
Now I've decided to get the more durable gel resolution 8, and someone told me it's narrower on the toe, so get half a size bigger. Is this true?

If I wear a 9 on court ff, should I just stick with 9 on the gel res 8 too? or should I get 9.5 to be safe? Half a size shouldn't be that much longer right? I don't think it will be too long for me?

I'm in Asia and these shoes don't come by easily, nowhere for me to try them on, so I can only get them online and there's no return policy.

I wear the same size on the Court FF2 (aka Court FF Novak) and the GR8. I have some heel slippage with the GR8, but it is okay when I use a runner‘s knot to lace using the extra eyelet at the end.

I have women's versions of both, in the same size. Back to back against the wall they are the same or about the same, definitely not half-size different. When worn FF2 feel a bit longer in toes, but due to overall fit I didn't want to size down, I have high arches otherwise I probably could, but in that size Resolution 8 would have been too small. Not sure if it's applicable to men's models though.
