Did the organizers finally received the memo? Fed likes fast courts!
We will probably see a rematch of Australia final.

Seems so. I don't think Cressy gets away with what he did yesterday otherwise. I think the humidity of these early days has played a big factor though, because that slows things done. Once all this rain gets done in the next couple of days it might be fresher hopefully? Then we'll really see what the deal is.

This is good. I’m glad they slowed down courts over last 25 years as in the 90’s it was just serve and volleying which becomes boring when you want to see rallies but I then felt they slowed them down too much and most tournaments were slow so it’s good to see some getting faster

No doubt, speed variety is needed.

Yep that’s it. I liked them slowing down the courts but it got too a point where it was nearly all them. You need slow HC like IW, Paris which was fine but then they started to slow Shanghai and Cinci. I like the variety. I used to watch all old matches and the courts where fast which made for some dull matches were serve dominant so I’m glad it changed but it be nice if there was a few events like that.
No player these days can volley due to the fact they don’t need too

It is faster. But not like the 90s.

Players with big forehands and good volleys should try and come to the net. It should benefit Tsitsi as he has a big forehand but unfortunately not a good volleyer. He missed some easy ones against Murray. If he works on that and follows up his big forehand with a volley, he has a chance.

Med is not a volleyer. I don't think it benefits him but he was playing well.

Dan Evans should do well but he seemed to have groin trouble.

Shapo is another one who will benefit. Is he a volleyer?

Who else do you think will benefit?

Roger would've enjoyed that but he's out injured or retired.

If favors Djokovic, he has been the best fast court player after Federer, fast low bouncing plays into his hands against anyone not named Federer.

So cos of the balls USO is playing even faster than AO21? High ace count to be expected by everybody ?
AO was still faster but conditions didn't behave like 50 cpi because of heavier balls.
US Open is playing like last year, medium fast, speed is increased from 2019 but not close to AO 2021
