Since Federer’s currently playing at a different level compared to his contemporaries, he is naturally the favourite to take the GOAT spot on a popular poll.
What I don’t understand is the fuss about this GOAT thing. Federer must win French Open because he is playing it. Not because he can become GOAT by winning a damn grand slam. There is a reason tennis tournaments are structured the way they are. People win slams and masters series. There is no GOAT series. And that’s why I hate analysts. They make a simple job look more difficult.
