Crap about GOAT.

Rod Laver, Roger Federer, Pete Sampras, Bjorn Borg are the four players consistently featuring in any GOAT discussion based on their playing records. Since Federer’s currently playing at a different level compared to his contemporaries, he is naturally the favourite to take the GOAT spot on a popular poll.

What I don’t understand is the fuss about this GOAT thing. Federer must win French Open because he is playing it. Not because he can become GOAT by winning a damn grand slam. There is a reason tennis tournaments are structured the way they are. People win slams and masters series. There is no GOAT series. And that’s why I hate analysts. They make a simple job look more difficult.

Do you know what GOAT means? Who as the world's #1 wouldn't want to go down in history as the greatest player ever stepped on a tennis court?
