I'm not sure if this has been posted before, but I found this to be a fascinating stencil. I would love to see other interesting stencils if anyone else has pictures.

I never thought of doing something like that. What a cool idea!! You could pretty much whatever you wanted!

Cheers,

I don't have a pic but I liked Muster's 'reverse' stencil on his Kneissl. He would black out the entire string bed except for the Star. There was also a player, who's name I forget, who used Yonex racquets without a contract and would put a smiley face in his strings.

this may sound funny, but i think you can download Halloween pumpkin/jack-o-lantern stencils that give this effect... not talking about a cut out ghoulish face, but like those cool ones you see, that you think... man who has this kind of time to do this!:)

I think it would be awesome to have an Apple logo on my racquet. -points to avatar-

Full sized Photoshop version I did:

I saw a playboy bunny stencil floating around somewhere around the internet before, but I haven't been able to find it. If anyone could help me with this i'd be incredibly grateful :D

they are easy to make and when I get a chance I am going to make a bunch of them on my computer and add the files to a thread. If you are photoshop savvy all you have to do is find a logo you like and ceop ot to a decent size. You then select the logo and fill with black.

this is a really COOL thread. You can always do the homemade stencils:

like the Smilie Face or Your Initials, there's this guy at the courts named Tom and he had an italics "T" on his racket.

All mine are done with invisible ink, it is so cool. Damn ink is very expensive. Plus I never really know when it runs out?

So I got bored tonight and made some custom stencils with some cardboard. I realize some construction paper would be better but I didn't have quick access to any. Made a power on symbol and a sigma symbol. Pretty fun lol. I have a smiley face, treble clef, bass clef, and heart (for my moms leagues) in the works.

I'm not the best yet but I'm going to try and get better and make more complex designs. :)

Anyone have some suggestions of what to make?

Sigma sign looks cool! I am about to string a racquet, I am finally going to get around to making a custom stencil. Thank you for sharing yours (the treble clef would be interesting if it turns out well!!!) The challenge to me is the fact that there are spaces, so it's not continuous space to fill. I want to make the RF one as well.

Do stencils affect playability? Last time I tried I thought it reduced spin and made the stringbed feel muted but then again pros seem to have no problem with spin. Just me?

No, not really. They fade so quickly that they wouldn't affect it too much if it even does. I've never noticed any changes at all.

Dude that's awesome! Did you just cut out a bit of paper or cardboard in the RF shape?
Yeah I just printed off the RF logo glued it some plastic (plastic folder) cut it out and hoped for the best lol. To be honest it came out a lot better than I thought it would for my first attempt. Plastic is a bit flimsy and u gotta really hold it down I think some think card board would be better like a cereal box that's what I'm gonna try for my next one (probs the batman logo!)
