Crisp Round Poly Recommendations

I just finished reading most of these posts. Got a headache. Too many choices you could spend years trying to find the perfect string. Life was much simpler in the late 50s 60s Basically 2 choices of rackets The American 65 sq in head and the foreign 2 frames slazenger and dunlop. The the strings gut and vantage I say and because u couldn't play gut in damp or wet weather . There weren't new frames every year if you played a Kramer you could get the same racket as the old ones went soft same with the Dunlops, Today your frames gets axed over year with the new one costing 2 arms and 2 legs. I`m not sure this is better

Is Max Power crisp feeling?

Imo - kind of. Not as crisp as silver7 tour (shaped though). Max power has more of a muted response with a little crisp in it. I used it for a year. Great string but once i switched to the v7 blade the combo was a little too muted for me.

For a round poly i really like Tour Sniper. Its not super crisp, but its more crisp than max power imo

Have tried almost every string mentioned on this thread with the exception of Head Hawk Touch, poly tour fire Kirschbaum competition and Xplosive speed.

I recently tried tried X-perience and it is currently my fav shaped poly.
Kirschbaum proline evo is grossly underrated and is still my fav round poly.

Add a couple of pounds tension for both as they are more lively than say AluPower Soft and RS lyon (also good options)

Proline X is another Kirschbaum option. Crisp, good spin, predictable power.

That's interesting. I've tried the Silver 7 tour briefly, and felt it didnt play as crisp as I would have liked in my DR98. I probably should have given it more time and from what I read the 16g plays more crisp (I tried the 17g).

round crisp feel polys:
1 head.hawk.touch (gray)
2 yonex.poly.tour.strike (gray), more so than yptp!! imo/ime

I second the above.

HHT is more crisp with a lower launch angle, rather similar to RPM; PTS is more comfortable and powerful but more muted.

Put Lux Element on that list. It doesn't die like Alu, and although it won't last very long, it beats Poly Tour Pro in almost every department.

RS Lyon I found quite muted.

You're not going to get super spin with round strings, btw.

i find the silver strings to play a bit more crisp.
weisscannon silverstring
alu rough
max power rough
