Critique my strokes, poor quality but if you know tennis I could use some hints

I don't play anymore but used to play decently. From time to time I've taken a set off of an former ATP player. The videos are very poor as I took it with my blackberry and I had no one to hit with except my girlfriend took the vid. Would appreciate any constructive criticism or tips.

All warm up type shots, I'm hoping to get some friends to play so I can get actually intense hitting videos. I think I'm lacking lower body coil in the forehand and serve so if you have tips for that, thanks.

EDIT: ok I will get a better camera, and track down someone to hit with.

If you are as high a level of a player as you suggest with "I've taken a set off of an former ATP player" comment, you really don't need a the TW internet forum to critique you.

Also get some better vids. Those show nothing. Seriously you show a couple serves from the side and drophit a BH and FH and you want advice from that? Get that former ATP player and show match play with a better video camera positioned from behind if you want some constructive criticism. Just my 2 cents.

I've lost track of all my tennis playing friends when I stopped playing. I hit with my girlfriend, it's not really tennis when we play or even decent practice, just bored today and we only had 3 old tennis balls that's why I only hit 3 shots each video. I can always use help because the game has changed a lot since I stopped playing and I know there are a number of USPTA pros and ex college players with good insight. If there are any 115+mph servers out there want to look at my lower body coil. I think I'm lacking some coil and knee bend that would add more speed. I don't think we need a hitting session to critique a serve.

Also the guy was an ATP player in the 70's still really good but obviously nothing compared to what is currently being played.

This is a strange thread for a variety of reasons. If you were good enough to takes sets off ATP players, then, it seems, you would understand what is necessary in a video for someone to give a fair evaluation of your level of play.

Also, if you have no one to hit with (except, possibly the girlfriend) why do you need (or want) a criticism of your strokes.

A better question would be something along the lines of- how do I meet players and get back into the game after not playing for a while?

Suggest you consider joining a USTA adult league in your area.

A decent futures player today would beat a ton of 70's ATP players. Even if I could find him I don't really want to talk shop with flat hitting, non western forehand, S & Volley players. That's the exact opposite of what is played today. The blackberry vid quality is poor but IMO it's fair enough quality and angle for a capable eye to critique my serve. I think work will be easy up in Nov so I'll try to get a better camera and someone to hit with and post up better vids.
