Cross to soften RPM Blast mains a little?

Looking for suggestions on a string to use as a cross with RPM Blast 18g mains to soften up the feel a bit?

Really liked the Babolat AeroPro Drive with a full bed of RPM blast, but just looking to get a slightly softer feel and maybe a bit more touch out of the racquet.

3 strings that I’ve had some experience with and could possibly use as a cross with RPM Blast mains are: Volkl Classic Synthetic Gut, Volkl Cyclone Tour, and Volkl Cyclone.

Other recommendations are greatly welcomed.

*if I pull the trigger on a pair of these racquets I plan to have Volkl Cyclone Tour mains in one and RPM Blast mains in the other

I have two APD 2013 and I love a full poly in it, can't beat the control. However, I have tried RIP control in the crosses. It wasn't as durable 6 hours to break. But it played pretty similar. I would look into PPA too. Usually they are good crosses with a poly.

Synthetic gut is a good way to soften the string bed. I heard some people uses isospeed baseline as their cross. its a elastic poly and really soft too. you should give it a try sometime,

Yea, that was why I was considering the Cyclone Tour with the RPM Blast mains...it feels pretty soft for a poly but should still give me that amazing and consistent feel.

Wow...gotta have more than 6 hours from a string :)

Excuse my ignorance...what is PPA?

I used to use Gosen OG Sheep Micro Super 1.25 but the Volkl Classic Synthetic 1.25 seems to play a little softer and offer a bit more spin in a hybrid. The IsoSpeed Classic 17 felt awesome as a cross but had absolutely no durability. Unfortunately I don't see where they sell Baseline as a single set.

Thanks for the input so far.

^^^^^ He may have meant PPS since he was already talking about Head Rip Control. PPS is a great syn gut for the price - worth a try.
