These are cumulative stats for the USO 2017 finalists, from R32 onwards. (Taking these 4 rounds because their competition was comparable.)

All evidence suggests Nadal will murder KA. Comparable on serve. Nadal by a mile on return.

Wow Anderson has all those free points off aces and has still been broken more than Nadal.
True although I believe based on form and talent, Sam Querrey and Pablo Carreno Busta were in very good form in this tournament. Querrey has shown his power and talent, having beaten or pushed the very top players. Nadal hasn't played any real killers in peak form in this tournament. Del Potro was already dead before he got on court.

Any of Busta, Querrey or Anderson had a chance vs Nadal until the QF. Now, no chance.

Just noted that KA has only lost 1 non tie breaker set all tournament - the 6-4 set vs Carreno Busta. He looks to be in the form of his life this fortnight.

Didn't Wawa beat Nadal at the AO14 final never beating Rafa or even taking a single set? I hope is not the same today

in 2014 AO, nadal was better than stan. but nothing compared to the amount he's better than KA here. also, in 2014 stan had put up worse numbers vs. better players. so one could have said it's hard to compare. in USO 2017, KA has put up worse numbers vs. comparable players. so one can compare the numbers, and they are not pretty reading for KA

Wawa had to actually fight his work through a proper draw to reach that final, unlike Anderson. I'm not convinced on the South-African.
Busta didn't drop a set leading to the match with Anderson. That's a cool name by the way! "Busta!" Not pronounced as in "boo" but pronounced like "bust".
"Busta!" I think Brand Gilbert would have a field day with this guy's name.

Shall I remind you Busta got through a draw of 5 successive qualifiers? Straights sets not that impressive in this situation. Busta is still Busta, even when he loses no sets.

True. Busta got busted when he ran into Special K. I think Anderson will become Special K if he miraculously wins today. Brad Gilbert will refer to him as Special K. I'm tweeting him my idea as we speak.

Great stuff!
Before reading this I was giving Anderson a 25% chance but after seeing return stats it is more like 10% chance! Had no idea Nadal was winning 42% of return games! This isn't even clay!

Perhaps you are right. But Rafa lost several important matches due to spirited opponents. Rosol, Wawa, Fognini, Verdasco, Querrey, Muller, Shapovalov, Kyrgios etc...
