Well, there’s no point talking anyway if someone thinks his stroke has no problems and he knows better than anyone else in the world. We’re wasting time.
Everything is going well. The forehand, serve, my knee, even the backhand yeah.Correct, now lets get back to the thread... how is your bh going?

Well then what would you describe that motion asI actually agree with zill here that he doesn't jerk his head violently at contact. You can't be consistent if you jerk your head and zill is very consistent.
He over-swings and can't maintain proper balance in follow-thru.Well then what would you describe that motion as

Especially the middle one. What does it look like happening? Imagine there’s no racket.
Good.As long as they are genuine pics off a single shot, its okay.

Zero likes for my post 7056 to show appreciation for my time/effort and super quality inputs, but posts that comment on it got likes!!
See, how thankless this tips giving biz is?
To a lesser man, like BMG for example, he's gonna turn bitter and resentful and go on to become negative......
Not me though... I'm good (ok, this sounds too much like zill but it's true though)

Don't become a lurker, mister B.
Let me ask you.retire with me... I've got a bunch of new shiny objects..
Let me ask you.
How would TT work for you? How would you make it work for you?
How do you think I was moving there? @StringSnapper
Not well, i mean you werent split stepping. But if its pain free better than nothingAfter 2.5 months.
Not healed but taped both knees to play. No pain. But immobile. How do you think I was moving there?

That's a winner right there.
Hey so your legs are ok, u back to playing?
Knee support braces (sleeves) are no good I take it? We have a different issue, but for me those are a necessity and make tennis possible.Only with both taped knees.
has no problems and
I don't remember you overrotating into Africa on your forehands, is this a new development?
You’re talking about the two forehands at the end where I really went for it? I guess it happens sometimes, not routinely though.I don't remember you overrotating into Africa on your forehands, is this a new development?

Ok guys, I’m finally conceding defeat on my bh battle!
I think the problem with my bh is that I just don’t feel comfortable if I coil/turn as much as optimal. It’s like forcing myself to write or eat with left hand. Is it because of my eyesight or neck inflexibility or something else I don’t know.
So from now on I won’t be trying to fix it and I’ll use it only when I’m really in a good position, otherwise I’ll be working on improving my slice.

Imagine an archer or hunter trying to launch arrows without locking out the bow-holding arm? How are you going to pull the string back properly? If he wasn’t going to get his feet set before his take back was complete he had no chance. He refused to fix that and is right to give up. If he can develop a low skidding slice, his bh will give opponents a much harder time than that weak topspin drive ever did.could have gotten it fixed in the Academy.. the issues are well documented.
but that's a big 'could'.
Too bad, keep at it.Ok guys, I’m finally conceding defeat on my bh battle!

Did zill give you lot of input during your rally? given how he is with you on TTOk guys, I’m finally conceding defeat on my bh battle!

Don't give up, you have improved it a lot. Takes time, keep going. Good slice is nice, but not with you first strike mentality.Ok guys, I’m finally conceding defeat on my bh battle!

Is it uncomfortable as in physical pain or just feels more uncoordinated?Ok guys, I’m finally conceding defeat on my bh battle!

No physical discomfort or difficulty. I’m right eye dominant. Is it uncomfortable as in physical pain or just feels more uncoordinated?
I always try to hit the easier shot. Slice is considered generally safer but for me hitting more topspin backhands feels safer than slicing tbh. Height (high balls) of the ball and pace makes topspin or blocks easier, lower bounces and further away balls makes slice the easier shot
He doesn't listen to me.
Try the two turns next time. I told @StringSnapper about it and he said it helped his bh a lot. You don't have many things to try. This could be your last resort.

I just don’t feel the connection with the incoming ball on the backhand side. I can’t set up which I don’t feel on the forehand.
Oh, it’s the stroke. Stubborn, that guy is.C's problem lies somewhere else. It's not really his stroke or even physical per se.
It's a classic one though.
Oh, it’s the stroke.
While your FH has improved, you are not staying with your shot (lifting your head too soon on the BH side, it seems); overall, progress though!Ok guys, I’m finally conceding defeat on my bh battle!

Yep, enough with details of stroke mechanics. I’ll keep the strokes as they are and focus on a few major things from now on:While your FH has improved, you are not staying with your shot (lifting your head too soon on the BH side, it seems); overall, progress though!
Wait! You are already ungiving up on giving up?Yep, enough with details of stroke mechanics. I’ll keep the strokes as they are and focus on a few major things from now on:
- split step (nonnegotiable)
- keep my head still at contact
- lower center of gravity
I’m sure 1hbh can still be functional and it doesn’t have to be a weapon. Just low to high and forward. Keep it simple. Shape it , keep it in. Don’t worry about anything else.
