Customize weight to equal (or close to) 2 racquets

Hello, (if this is not the correct section for this please let me know!)

I have a pair of racquets with the following specs:

1) 11.16oz, 10 HL, 283 SW
2) 11.20oz, 9 HL, 282 SW

**Plastic wrapping accounts for 0.08 oz and 0.5 HL balance points.**

I don't have any way to test SW.

I want to make it roughly 11.7-11.8oz unstrung, keeping it 10-11 HL. I plan on adding 1 overgrip on top of the stock replacement grip. Could someone help me add weight (TW Tungsten tape) so they also keep the same SW, maybe TW?

Thanks in advance!

If you're trying not to add SW then you need to put it in the handle. The further away from the handle, the greater impact any added weight will have on the SW.
If I add equal weight to the handle to both racquets, will their respective difference in SW increase?

Your racquets are already extremely close to each other, so I would just add the same weight to both racquets at the same spot. They're only about a gram off, but the lighter racquet is more HL and higher SW which is weird. If anything, just add 1 more gram in the handle of the lighter racquet with adding everything else equally to both racquets.

If you want to minimize added SW, put the weight in the handle. If you want the same balance, add weight either at the balance point or split above/below the balance point. Keeping the balance will increase the SW. Keeping the SW low will move the balance more HL.

I got the specs from the racquet matching service, but now that you mention it does seem a little weird.

I'm not adverse to increasing the SW, just trying to prevent a big deviation in specs from one another. I think I started overthinking the placement and amount of weights because terms like SW and TW and how little things can affect it.

Thank you for your help!

Yeah, I wouldn't worry too much about that. Those two racquets are very similar, so I would either:

1) Do the same to both racquets
Or
2) Do 2 different things to them to experiment with what you like, then, once you're happy with one of them, just do that same thing with the other one.

Beautiful, I will do just that!

Thanks again!
