Customizing my frame

Here is my dillema:
I am about to buy a frame that is 10.8 oz. strung and 4 pts. HL. I dont want to make my balance any lower, but I would like to bump my static weight up to around 11.2 oz. to 11.5 oz. My initial thoughts were to add fishing weights, but my butt cap is filled with a foamy goo. I don't want to drill in there because I'm afraid that will be too messy and will mess with the frame. I then pondered using a Wilson Leather grip to add weight. I looked at the stickys on leather grips and got some great info, Wilson Leather grips are about 22 g, about an oz. Overgrips are around .2 oz. My big question is, how much does a synthetic replacement grip weigh???? For example, my racquet comes stock with Wilson True Grip or something, how much does something like that weigh. Do racquet companies weigh out the racquet for specs with the grip on or off???? I really need help on this, please respond.

LOL nice one. Has anybody weighed out some synthetic replacement grips? If you weigh in your racquet with the stock grip on it, will it weigh more than the specs say it should

i think to just bump up static weight without changing the balance you either need to add say x amount at 12 and then add that same amount in the butcap or on the botom of the handle or add the weight exactly on the balance point. So you can either counter balance by putting it on both ends or add it to the point of balance.

ok put a leather grip on, but before you put it on wrap your desired amounts of lead around the handle(to get the weight you want) if it is too head light, take weight off of the grip and put it on the new balance point, or 3 and 9, whatever you desire.

Customization like this is fairly simple eg to make more headlight add weight to handle etc

You wouldnt happed to be buying this frame, due to all the customization hype going around? it is best to buy the racquet that is closest to the best for you then make minor customizations.

ok cool, good to hear that you have found a nice frame, may i ask what is it?
Last time i heard you were happy with ya Mspeeds

Wilson K Factor Team. Demoed for 4 or 5 days, hits unbelievable. I have a pretty detailed thread on it called the KSixOne Team. If you are wondering, I demoed all the K factors and they all played much better than the NCodes, K Team was miles ahead of the rest though.
