CX 200 + users???

I can't find many users of the Srixon CX 200 + racquet. Just wondering abt your string setups for it and any customisations?

The CX200+ has been my racquet of choice for almost 2 years (and still going strong). Really disappointed that Dunlop did not release an updated version!

My current setup is Solinco Confidential 17at 52lbs, with about 4 grams added at 3/9 and 3 grams added to the handle. Overall weight with overgrip (and rubber band dampener) is around 332 grams.

Head Lynx Tour is a also a nice string in the frame - gives more control and better feel than the Confidential, but a little less bite and put away power. If they make a 1.20mm version of Lynx Tour, I will be tempted to make a switch.

I also really enjoyed Tourna Silver Tour in the frame - amazing spin, control and power, but it was a little too stiff for my arm (which is fairly sensitive).

Thank you. Curious as to why you put lead at 3 and 9? I have this racquet too and it feels "soft" in the head. Not sure how to describe it. I wonder if lead at 3 and 9 would stiffen the head a bit? I actually have mine strung with BHS7T. I found that I needed to crush the ball everytime or else it would fall shorter. I forget what I strung at.

Yes - for me in stock form, despite the 340 SW, the balls lacked a bit of pop (especially on defense) so I figured I would experiment with a bit of lead. I tried some at 12pm to start but for me it made the racquet feel a bit sluggish - however when I put it at 3/9, it really came alive. Still had very good precision and feel but added some stability and easier power - made it a much more playable racquet for me.

BHS7T is a great string for the racquet - I loved hitting with it in the cx200+ but as I mentioned it was a bit stiff for my arm.

Its funny eh how despite the 340ish sw that it still feels low powered. I will try the lead at 3 and 9. Do you think 1.20mm is better suited on this frame?

I like the 1.2 a bit better than 1.25 (for Hyper G and Confidential) for this frame - thinner gauge gives a bit more bite and pop which this frame could use. Although it’s 16x19, the string pattern towards the center of the racquet is reasonably dense so I haven’t had any string breakage problems with the thinner gauge.

Just started playing with this stick. Definitely a lot more user friendly than all of my other 200g's. (Revelation, Muscle Weave, MFIL, AG200, 4D 200, Biomimetic 200+) I still love my 18x20's though This racquet had a ton of spin on kickers and my forehand. I'm more of a flat ball 90's hitter so anything extra was welcomed. For me the racquet was relatively easy on my shoulder which I have issues with. Right now it's in stock form strung with Alu 1.25 @50 I think

Well considering that it was on sale at $99 at some point, I'd say it wasn't that popular and models are driven by sales. I gave mine away to a friend who tried and loved it. And he had difficulty finding a 2nd new one. Extended racquets tend to be niche. Even Yonex's extended models aren't sold in most places except North America and other select markets.
I hope you stocked up when it went on end of model sale. That's what I did for the SV98+.

I have been playing this with BHST 1.25mm on mains and Signum Hextreme 1.20mm on crosses; 0.75g of lead at 11 and 0.75g at 1. This is so good now!!!!
