Hi,

I have a k90 with an all topspin cyberflash 16 setup. Would it benefit me to use the cyberflash in only half of the setup? If I am looking for more spin and a little more feel, should I use them in the mains of the crosses and with what other hybrid string? Thnaks

I have tried hybride of cyberflash main with OG micro cross and x1-biphase cross. I'd say x-1 biphase is a much better cross, a little pricy though. When I used OG micro, the cyberflash main moves a lot. But x-1 biphase keeps the cyberflash main in place. Plus, x-1 biphase adds a lot more pop.

If you're going to use CF 16, I do not believe there is anything you can cross it with for more spin. I would try moving to CF 17.

"Feel" is a loosly defined term and it means different things to different people. Some people want the feedback an all Poly job will give the, and call tha more feel. Some people want the feeling of the stringbed cupping the ball and calling that more feel.

For ther former, you're allready there. For the latter, almost anything other than Poly fot the crosses, is going to give you a softer "feel". OG Micro is a good suggestions from sw2ny888.

As for spin, I think it would be better with CF17 full poly jobs.
I tried CF17 full poly and (CF/Iso control).
I don't feel like the hybrid comes with more spin.

Has anyone else tried the cyberflash OG micro combination? If so, did you have trouble with the mains moving? I can't afford x-1 biphase, and I'm thinking of buying the cyberflash and OG micro but I don't like it when the mains move around much.

im hybriding cyberflash in the mains and technifibre X-one biphase in the crosses. i have yet to play with it but i have heard great things about this string combinations

I currently have CF 17 in the mains and OG Micro 17 in the crosses of one of my frames. A tad livelier than the all CF 17 job in the other one with a softer feel. Both frames are strung at the same tension. I don't see any string movement and I hit hard. But I don't hit a ton of topspin either.

Thanks for the help, netman. I think I'll go ahead and order.

just to let you know-- i finally played with the cyberflash mains and x-one crosses, and it is an absolute dream. I played doubles and got incredible spin on serves and groundstrokes, and volleys were a dream. I've never served or volleyed as well as today. I highly recommend the combination. My main strings are at 57 and my cross strings are at 55 (i lowered main tensions because of the yonex head shape)

I swear by Cyberflash/OG hybrid...I tried a SilverString/OG, Premier Ace/OG, Cyberflash full, Premier Ace full, Cyberflash/NXT, NXT/Cyberflash, and nothing has come close to how the Cyberflash/OG feels in my nBlade...I string it 57/59 BTW

I currently use Cyberflash mains and OG crosses, both 17G. I've used different tensions, in the 54-60# range, and in all cases my mains don't move at all, or at least insignificantly.

Thanks for the info. I ordered the reels last night. I also play with an nblade. I currently have it strung with cf 17 in the mains and alpha gut 2000 17 in the crosses, both at 51 pounds. I'll string a little tighter in the future, but I really like it as is. I just got the nblade a month ago. I intend to post a review in the next couple of weeks.

Same here. I do 58 mains and 56 crosses due to the Yonex head shape.

hybrid

has anyone tried cyberflash 17g mains with either FXP 16g crosses or FXP Power 16g. I ordered a reel of the cyberflash and can't wait to get it...am having to wait forever though for backordered shipping and I live on the other side of the country from California! If anyone has let me know

try using the new gauge, 17L (1.20).
i just strung it up on my rds 001 and spin is great.
i used CF 17 before and spin is much better.
