Cyclone and/or HyperG and guy hybrid

Thinking about trying gut mains/cyclone or HyperG cross set-up. My concern is the rougher texture on the crosses would eat up the gut. Would this be a concern?

Jack sock uses this hybrid . With Luxilon alupower rough cross . I would try it because if it wasn’t for my proline ll crosses I would try a max power rough for the softer feeling than max power crosses .
