As if my torn meniscus wasn't enough (surgery scheduled for 2/26). I just had laser surgery to repair a torn retina. So in advance of my 1-3 months off, I now have one week of no physical activity.

Getting old is hard!

Enjoy every minute on the court people. You never know when it's game, set, match!

How did you tear your retina?

At any rate, get well and Godspeed.

I have no idea. I just woke up this past Friday with blurry vision and "floaters". As it didn't clear up over the weekend, I called my doctor first thing Monday am. He took me right away and said, "Now that you're over 50, over 50 things are happening." His assistant called the retina specialist and I drove straight down to his office.

So start to finish, it was over in 3 hours. (Not including dilation time.)

The interesting thing is, although the retina is repaired, the floaters have to clear up on their own. This I am told can take up to two months!

By the way, thanks for the kind wishes!
