Daniel Koellerer: The ATP has destroyed my life. The Fab 4 wouldn't be disqualified

I get his point. There is no way in hell that any of the big stars would be punished the way he was(even though they certainly should imo). So going by that, the whole ATP is hypocratic. I think this is a rather big problem(favouring of the biggest stars) that should be talked about a lot more than it is.

However, that does not mean that the way he represented himself and tennis in general is okay. In fact, he fully deserved the punishment he got, and he's got nobody to blame but himself.

Seems funny to be banned but for the fine to be lifted... Then again it's funny too that a POS like Odesnik was allowed to play again, that he "cooperated" but nobody knows in what capacity.

Don't get me wrong, the guy was a real character, not compassionate at all for a classless loser.

Yeah. Definitely a lot of stuff that doesn't make any sense..

Can this guy, who I never even heard before win a slam? Preferential treatment is debatable, he will never get preference anyway :D
Sorry, won't be missed. BYE.

Crazy Danny is better at what he does than most (if not all) people on this forum.

And many people that criticize him are in awe of people that do much worse things for a living, I am sure.

Just for some perspective.

Daniel Koellerer, banned for match fixing says the Fab 4 (Djokovic, Federer, Nadal, Murray) would always be covered up of wrong doing and he didn't get fair treatment.

Daniel Koellerer: The ATP has destroyed my life. The Fab Four would never be disqualified.
Sounds like a good thing that his daughter will never be able to see him play. But will he be able to stop her from seeing all those vids of him in action? ;)

If a "racist piece of ****" states a fact is it less true?

No, and one could argue they promoted an environment where covering up, lying and so forth for the sake of fame fortune and promotion of the sport are at all cost. Question, do you expect the children of drug addicts to be drug free as they grow up? For all of their investigation their is still no transparency on their part...

Agassi really hurt the ATP's reputation. Because of him i believe they cover up for top players.

How much money changed hands when djok got an eye infection mid match?

Yes, it does. He should've been banned for a long time before being caught by match-fixing.
He rigged three matches, what do you mean fair treatment?
He got what he deserved!

Exactly! This guy is the ultimate pariah and constantly endangered the reputation of the game with his presence.

He actually endangered himself numerous times. Violence is never right but it is a miracle he was never seriously assaulted given his involvement with match-fixing figures or other players who he deliberately stirred, villified or cheated against.

I read a similar article on Australian news site and in all honesty it just came across as sour grapes and a pretty stupid thing for him to do by naming individual players who the ATP would never come down as hard on.

Without going into details of his actual case and whether evidence supported the ultimate verdict, it's a bit rich of him to make claims of ATP destroying his life, maybe something he should have considered before involving himself in illegal activities.

Koellerer bemoaning the ATP for ruining his life is like Conrad Black bemoaning the US for ruining his life. You committed a crime. You got caught. Suck it up and stop being a *****.

He has a point, but I'm tired of people playing that card for seemingly every issue these days. Not that long ago guys like (I believe) Tursunov and Gulbis were b.itching and moaning about Nadal and Djokovic for example not getting called for time violations. It is generally true, sure, but most of all I'm just tired of people complaining, especially when they play this card. The more people that come out with the same argument the more it just sounds like sour grapes to me.

Original material would be nice every once in a while.

After Sharapova's announcement, I'm starting to think Koellerer may have a point. I'm alluding to Sharapova's recent announcement. What are the odds that the organisers didn't know about that? In fact, it would not be a stretch to think this announcement was their idea; a sort of damage control.
