Yeah, I hit with him one time, he's really quick, pretty heavy lefty strokes, solid overall game. As far as turning pro, I don't know although I guess his game is similar to Wayne Odesnik's who is ranked around 400 now so maybe he'll do pretty well. He's qualified for some futures and has i believe earned a point, so if the USTA throws major WCs his way now that he's got a green card(they will, guaranteed), he should be able to have a shot at making it. He's way better than Brendan Evans at least.
He's (at this time at least) all hype. If you check the results, he has yet to actually EARN an ATP point, and he has gotten enough WCs to get him to 800? or so. Eventually with this many WCs, he will almost have to become a decent player, but USTA is being swayed by IMG's money in this case. Brendan getting a WC into Scottsdale is ridiculous, he got more points for that than a lot of guys get for grinding it out over several months. Of course, you may note that Roddick never earned a point in the Futures either, he was moved up to Challengers by USTA and eventually turned out quite well, so you never know.
