Daniil Medvedev loses in the first round of consecutive tournaments

It is hard to predict with these NewNextLost geners lol. I can see Med losing in the first round to a net-rusher or reaching a QF, depending on his draw. But I think a competent net player with a solid serve could exploit the holes in his game, his return position in particular.
If I have to put a bet, I would definitely go with Khachanov to go further, he's definitely a more solid grass player.

What do you think?
The same in reality, this generation is not consistent at all in the Majors tournaments and it would seem that Wimbledon will not be the place where that happens.
I think "Thor" is one of the few players in that age range who could damage any opponent on that surface; he won't lack desire now that he is in the best moment of his career.
Let's hope he does keep what he promises.
:D

Coming off of his ignominious defeat to world #165 Thiago Seyboth Wild in the French Open first round, Daniil has now been dumped out of the ‘s-Hertogenbosch tournament by Mannarino.

That’s now two consecutive tournaments he’s been taken out without winning a match.

Discuss.
What it tell us?

Alcaraz wilted physically after only 2 sets, it stopped being a contest after that. That match doesn't tell us anything other than Alcaraz being far from a finished product in BO5.
This is just a ridiculous contention. Nadal beat Thiem in 19. Federer beat Baghdatis in 06. Djokovic beat Murray in 13. Federer beat Safin in 04. All these dudes dropped off massively or never had it physically within two sets. Would be completely silly to say anything other than that they were deservedly beaten by a superior opponent. Same goes here. Having better legs is a legitimate and extremely common way of beating your opponent.

I know this is off topic but if you’re referring to AO 13, don’t even get me started. Unforgivable the way he dropped off and the fact he made us all relive it again 2 years later in basically the same way. Genuinely think Djoker wanted it more than him

No one really hyped up some of those wins though.
