Daniil Medvedev Should Not Complain About Rafael Nadal Support In Australian Open Final, Says Aslan Karatsev

Karatsev says Medvedev should take it on the chin and accept Nadal is always going to be a crowd favourite wherever he plays.

“I think for me it’s pretty normal,” said Karatsev ahead of playing in Pune this week.

“Nadal has just made his comeback and didn’t play for almost half a year, of course fans will support him. He’s coming back from injury and the same thing happens if you play against Roger [Federer].

“So yeah I know it can be disturbing when fans try to distract you while serving and all, but I think sooner or later Daniil will realise that and move on.

“The same thing happened with me but you cannot do anything like telling the fans ‘come on you support me’, that would not make sense.”

Karatsev also told Wion Sports: "Of course fans love the Big Three. I played against Andy Murray in Sydney, all the crowd support was with him. They have done a lot for our sport so it is obvious."

I’ve always viewed Aslan…as someone with nice calves………I mean a sensible person

So you're the guy who critiques models and finds they all have 'pointy knees' I see...
Absolutely not.. just a comment, my man.

He doesn't have bad calves by any means but it's just something I noticed. He carries most of his muscle above his knees, the 'prototypical' tennis look is more biased towards the calves I think. I'm imagining Pete and Fed. Speaks to his natural athleticism and power IMO.

I think you're imagining what you prefer perhaps but that's about it. These are all just slightly different flavors of exceptional athletes. Thinking that Nadal 'should' have bigger calves is a strange statement i.e. the models with pointy knee syndrome.

I think you've got to stop twisting what I say to create a strawman, but that's about it.

You are extremely pedantic especially with my posts and it's getting a little annoying.

I didn't 'twist' anything. You literally wrote Nadal 'should' have bigger calves and when discussing an obvious physical specimen it's much like some guy online pointing out a model's 'pointy knees'

If you can't take such mild comments, please consider adapting your forum habits accordingly.

OK bud. You literally did twist it, making it into a strawman with the pointy knees comment.

That is the 'black letter law' definition of what a straw man is, by the way: "the real subject of the argument was not addressed or refuted, but instead replaced with a false one"

I made no comments about pointy knees, solely that Rafa has a unique leg muscle distribution. I even praised his squat and deadlift numbers. How did you find issue with that, seriously?

As for the final comment, I'm all good, I just don't like having my words twisted which is what you did.

I’ve always felt Nadal should have bigger calves than he does. He definitely squats+deadlifts the most of the Big 3 by a large distance though.

Oh you just dug your own grave there. Please rewrite to avoid the wrath of Oct....Khan.

How is that you're so sensitive about something so silly? Sheesh.

I didn't twist your words; I commented on the main point and then made a joke about your comment being analogous to those made online by nerds about models.

Nadal is an obvious physical specimen. That he's not exactly proportioned like Roger or someone else is neither here nor there and you wouldn't catch me making some comment about Federer's 'skinny arms' etc.

So yeah, it's still in the nerd vs pointy knee model category but we can agree to disagree without this back and forth. Sorry if I hurt your feelings.

You just love arguing for the sake of it. And now the strawman argument was just a “joke” lol?

I complimented Nadal’s athleticism and power in the post, ffs… it takes a bizarre mind to find issue in what I said. Also, please stop with the condescending “feelings hurt” comments at the end of the posts. I’ve been polite in every comment I’ve made here.

I see you can't let go. Ok, we'll continue then. Yes, I made one point and then made a joke about that same point. It takes a bizarre mind not to see that and to instead imagine 'strawmen'

That point was, commenting on an obvious physical specimen and saying he 'should' have bigger calves is silly and rather analogous to nerds online commenting on some model's pointy knees.

Maybe he was the last bodybuilding champion with a balanced proportion of mass and aesthetics. Sergio, Frank, Franco, Arnold, Lee, Dorian. Starting from Ronnie it's been all about mass avd oversized building...
“Let’s see it! NO MERCY! NO PRISONERS!”. Never thought Blood and Guts quotes would make it to this forum. There is hope.

My favourite bodybuilder, due to his work ethic and mindset. 100% tunnerl vision.

Who needs preworkout when you can watch this :D
