The atmosphere is like night and day in Glasgow and Valencia. The stands are pretty empty and fan reactions negligible in Glasgow. Just the opposite in Valencia even though the home team isn't playing.

I was surprised to see that Coric won his match!

Especially happy for de Minaur!

Looking forward to tomorrow's matches!

Could somebody please explain to me what "world 1" is in regards to the Davis Cup? I saw that there were two matches today in that category but I don't know what it is.

Help me out - is this chart correct as of today? Certain countries have not played their second day's worth of matches...

Group A:

Italy (host): 3-0
Sweden: 3-3
Croatia: 2-4
Argentina: 1-2

Group B:

Spain (host): 3-0
Serbia: 2-4
So. Korea: 2-4
Canada: 2-1

Group C:

Australia: 5-1
France: 2-4
Germany (host): 2-1
Belgium: 0-3

Group D:

United States: 4-2
Kazakhstan: 2-4
Netherlands: 2-1
Great Britain: 1-2

So... Spain, GB, Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Canada, Argentina and Italy will play tomorrow...

All 3 of the Italy vs Argentina matches are interesting to me: Sinner vs Cerundolo, Berrettini vs Baez, and Bolelli/Fognini vs Gonzalez/Zeballos!

Not so keen on the Germany vs Belgium matches ): Struff vs Bergs, Otte vs Goffin (o.k., that one could be a good one), and Kraweitz/Puetz vs Pike (sp?)/Viligen (sp?)....

They haven't put up the matches for Spain vs Canada and Great Britain vs the Netherlands yet but I have heard Carlos will play Felix in the second match for Spain!

So Spain vs Canada: Bautista Agut vs Pospisil; Alcaraz vs Auger-Aliassime; and Granollers/Martinez vs Auger-Aliassime/Pospisil (both playing two matches today).

Great Britain vs the Netherlands: Evans vs Griekspoor; Norrie vs van de Zandschulp; and Murray/Salisbury vs Koolhof/Middelkoop.

Davis Cup has been great so far this year!

That only applies to @Vamos Rafa Nadal, right? 'Cause I'll be on that match like white on rice.

The boy is amazing though.
Just a couple of days after winning the US Open he's able to recalibrate and give a very good (and rested) FAA a good match.
He would have had every right to struggle or find it hard to concentrate/get motivated, but here he is giving it his all.
Sign of positive things to come.
Well done.

Uruguay hosts China. Probably to satisfy the CCP, matches are held in the afternoon rather than in the evening.

Carlos looks kind of tired right? After the 1st set his intensity droped, felix looks fresher and serving very good

If FAA can realize his complete potential, he’ll be even better than Alcaraz. FAA is a prodigy who’s sadly lost his way mentally. Hopefully Alcaraz’s success has lit a fire.

He has awful hands, he is "just" athletic and have good groundies and serve, which is a lot, but nowhere near as complete

Beat Sinner at Cincy. Won a title that actually means something unlike Umag. Played Med super close at AO and gave Rafa a scare at RG. In essence, had a much better year than Sinner so far.
Lol? You’re such an idiot, better year? Sinner had a match point on the eventual champion, made second week at all 4 majors (3QFs) way better winning percentage despite being physically impaired in the first half of the year and took 2 sets from Djokovic.

Are Team GB fielding Murray in the doubles because they're in Scotland? The guy is a legend but when you have Skupski on the bench for the doubles rubber, something has to be amiss. How much doubles has AM played this year? The pairing of Salisbury and Skupski would make logical sense based on merit this year. It's almost like AM has been included as a consolation for not being chosen for singles.
