A fit Gasquet won't lose to Coric. If Gasquet is playing then we have to assume he is fit enough. Coric has similar physical problems anyway.
Simon does not raise his game in Davis cup, you must be mixing up with another player. The only great match by Simon I remember is vs Murray last year. He had his share of disappointing losses and even against Struff he needed 5 sets to defeat him. I feel Gasquet is more reliable, he is simply a better player as well.
