Clutch serving by Andy, two aces to erase two tie points. Another BP now.

very true.

still the match is like the death of a thousand cuts for andy.

this is enough humble pie to last andy for at least 6 months.

have another bite ........

I dont see how Federer was lucky in that match. It was a 5 setter but Andreev was never at any point leading in that match. Never leading in sets, never leading during a set when tied in sets. There is no objective reasoning to think Andreev was ever more worthy of winning that match just because it went 5 sets.
I think you're wrong here. Andreev did lead in sets since he won the first one...

Querrey and Ferrer will play the dead rubber, best 2 of 3. I think they should have let Almagro play it, so he gets more experience and to foster team spirit, but the crowd is not complaining.

That's what the announcer at the bullring said right after the other match, so it must be a last minute change. The crowd clapped after hearing David's name.

There was no way Ferru was going to play this dead rubber. He's leaving for Beijing tomorrow. So is Verdasco, for that matter. So it makes sense to just send Feli out there. It's not like the result matters any.

I know amazingly tough schedule for those who are going to beijing.
Feli stands a fairly good chance anyway he was the one in good form yesterday.

This match actually showed how talented Querrey is. Roddick got swept off the court by the clay monster!!

It wouldnt shock me if Querrey was the 2nd ranked or even top ranked American next year. He is clearly on the rise, and at the stage where he is still improving, which Roddick and Blake try as they may, will have a very hard time doing at this point.

roddick is more susceptible on clay than querrey. roddick's game does not fit on clay at all, as opposed to querrey, who is more comfortable. and nadal's type of game just murders players like roddick.

Agreed. Querrey is one of the few players that can trouble Nadal anywhere. Davydenko and Ferrer (when on) are 2 others.

Yeah, Querrey can always load up that forehand. It's been a while since Roddick could do the same.

I said the same thing before SQ played FL Sunday.

R5 - F.LOPEZ (ESP)
def.
S.QUERREY (USA)
7-6(3) 7-6(4)

And Lopez had just played the Saturday
..... what happened? Did anybody see it??

I saw the first set... as the score indicates it was dead even. Lopez played great in that tiebreak tho.

yeah it was pretty close. they both had some spectacular shots. but it seemed so boring for some reason. maybe it was because it was a dead rubber.
