Simon too good I'm presuming?
Well, I'm looking forward to this one and have my Cheese + Onion Pringles and Smirnoff Ice at the ready.
Come on Andy!![]()
It's such a refreshing drink, especially on warm days like this!Smirnoff ice.. brave man![]()
Well he "just" has to push Murray to the 5th set. Heard the French commentators saying that Murray wouldn't play the doubles if his Friday match went tot he 5th.What a perfect start .... now Tsonga has not much pressure. Windy conditions should favour Murray though.
Who's the favourite to go through to the semis?
I'm thinking GB, but murray has to win today and then one of the doubles tomorrow, and then he will seal the deciding match on sunday I think.
Tsonga and his FH chip returns...Murray starts serving with (much) more safety and Tsonga chips the returns. Seriously...
Well, 2 sets to love for Murray.
Is (Andy) Murray going to play doubles?Murray's one sided dominance of Tsonga continues. 1-1 in the tie! Doubles time!
More than the return, it's his awareness that's lacking. He hasn't noticed Murray stopped serving in the 120-130mph range. "Well my shoulder is hot (135+mph range), maybe it's time to be aggressive on the return!" Nah, not even one bit.Tsonga return sucks. I thought it was because of servers picking on his weak backhand, but after watching this match I've realised his forehand return isn't much better.
Is (Andy) Murray going to play doubles?
Having to rely on Ward if they lose the doubles rubber will be tough
Too late now, but it was on the Red Button (Channel 601 Freeview). Saturday and Sunday are on BBC2 though.what channel is/was this on? cant find it on bbc
[emoji12] [emoji12] [emoji12] Air Serve!Funny moment.
I like it too, i got afraid when i read Gasquet/Mahut this morning given they didn't even practise together, now I feel better with this team.I'm liking this doubles match-up for France. Tsonga serving huge.
Jamie Murray weak man on the court
You mean the doubles match or the tie? If you mean the tie, that was my prediction too on friday that both teams would be 1-1 on saturday morning, and then France would win the doubles...on sunday Murray wins his match and Tsonga or Gasquet wins the deciding match against Ward.Greg Rusedski predicted France would win in 5 which threw me a bit. Can someone explain why he would think this? Or why they think France are winning? Who is the weak link in GB? Or the strengths of France ?

Well IMO Mahut is better than Jamie, I mean he played 2 (that I know) grand slam finals. And obviously he is a better singles player overall than Jamie. And Tsonga being a better serve than Andy i guess that probably explains Rusedski's opinion. The doubles match.. I predicted whoever wins the doubles, wins the tie.. obvious really, Ward will lose both his Matches, Murray will win both his. But yeah, I meant the doubles.. any idea why the French team is seemingly stronger or why Greg (a big help and supporter of GB tennis, heavily involved) would predict a France win? I don't get it, as Jamie Murray is better doubles player than Mahut (I think) and Andy is better player than Jo (Not sure of there doubles results)
