Davydenko's 2009 new racquet?

For the Monte Carlo 2009 event, it looks like he's using a O3 Tour paintjob. There are clearly o-ports, but not the Ozone Pro Tour paintjob.

NO Prince Stencil on the racket. that means His Prince contract Expired. so does he have any new contract. If this is HEAD racket, why is there no Head Stencil ???

yeah he used the O3 tour, and i dont think he's sponsored by prince, because:

1.) there was no prince logo
2.) he used a "head" bag

he used this specific bag last night against murray

yeah, i noticed it immediately coz I also have the same bag, though im not using it anymore when my friends commented it was indeed lady-like..

hahaha..practiced with his brother..and i saw him testing a blacked out head raquet..sure it was the speed pro..due to 18mm beam and so on..and i asked him how he finds the speed pro..he said he didnt realy like it..
BUT speed pro is officialy 16x19...and for pros unofficaly u can get 18x20...
SO i am very sure this is a speed pro 18x20...and its blacked out because head and him havent got to a final deal...

i was talking about the black frame..didnt see him with the prince in monte carlo..so i asume they didnt get it together with head

He packed his racquet after his match against korolev in Estoril in a Wilson bag...
Probably doesn't mean anything.

its the prototype gael monfils raquet before. that pic is before the new prince raquets came out this year so they gave him a prototype since he has been injured he has not officially switched to it

i dont think it would. as good as a player he is he is the most boring and has no on court character. i would be surprised if players purchased a price frame on him using it. the bryan brothers, maria and co all have something about them that influences racket sales.
If tennis rackets were only sold in the US you'd be right. But since EU is big and he's been at the TMC in Shanghai for the last 4 yrs and the Chinese fans really liked his game and fight. Other than the majors, how many people watch Bryan bro matches vs. Davy frequently going deep at big tournaments? It's all about product placement. I think it's a good move for Head - but the fact that it's taking a long time to finalize the deal tells me Davy thinks he's worth more than they're offering. And this isn't the greatest economy to be negotiating a contract in.

New picture uploaded on Yahoo! and I think I see a Babolat dampener there! Strange he's still using his O3, he must have not found a Head racquet he likes

this dude needs to pick up a racquet and stick with it. its funny how he was with head first then went to the 03 tour. he had good results with the 03 tour but then picked up the 0zone pro tour and loved it. then all of a sudden he dumps the ozone plays with a head racquet and then switches back to the 03 tour. now he is back playing with an 0zone pro tour.

He is behaving like me and most of the other posters on this forum:)

I hold Daydenko's racket at the French Open and was a little surprised when i saw the lead tape on his racket, it was very amaturistic done, bits of lead on the beam of the shaft here and there, just placed on, very strange, had a talk with the local stringer there and he told he did it himself, anyway the racket felt good in hand, not too heavy, gripsize 3.

So what racquet was it?

Davydenko rakcet change

I think this is maybe some type of experimental Head racket. With the speculation around what mould Djokovic's Speed Pro is coming from, Davydenko's disparity with Prince may have prompted him to try this racket for them in aid of their new frame research.

according to hdtennis.com
his racquet is 28 1/8 inches...what? is this for real? just seem so abnormally long for a pro...

A surprising number of pros use extended racquets, it's just that the general public is unaware of it, since they're usually playing with paintjobs of standard frames. The surprising thing is really that so few extended players frames are available at the retail level, considering how popular they are on the pro tours and with contract players.

I saw Davydenko play today, he beat Tsonga in an excibition match:)

I was surprised how short (understand need for long racquet:))he was and he had an Ozone Prince racquet of some sort, and had Prince stencil, great looking racquet as well!!!

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone knows what string Davydenko s currently using. I know he did use Polystar Energy, but is this still the case or is he using something else now?

Any help much appreciated

Also noticed that he's been using a Babolat dampener for a little while, could this mean he is using Babolat strings?
