Hopefully 2 weeks at least. That way he can breaks Sampras' record of 286 weeks.

Federer is going to retire devastated if he can't get that Sampras record and also can't win the London Olympics. And then he'll have to watch Rafa on television chasing down his total slams record. How awful.

How are you not banned yet? All your threads are anti-Fed, pro Nadal. Everything you post is pro Nadal, anti-fed. Moderators are pathetic here.

I am cofused with this Hate/Love Nadal versus Hate/Love Fed dichotomy. Why can't we admire/respect both. If we have to love one, do we have to hate the other?

Because to some people, liking one guy means hating his biggest rival. Sad, I know.

Yeah, I don't want to sound like some 'old wise sage,' but I'm guessing this behavior/attitude conversely relates to age.

yes, but eventually it's starts falling again. I have seen my share of unreasonable, immature, and rude old people. Who I'm sure 15 years ago, were perfectly normal individuals.

That's not always true. If you visit the "Former Pro Player Talk", some of the seniors are rude and self-center. But some are very understanding and courtesy.

I understand that idiots have no age, I'm saying I believe most 'people' who love Nadal, but hate Fed & vice-versa are younger. I don't find too many older folks who prescribe to loving one, while hating the other; thay usually are impressed by both.

Ack, he was just stating his opinion of how Federer would feel. He did not express any glee in Federer's "misfortune" unless I missed something.

Although, I am not sure how much an Olympic medal matters to someone who has won WO. Unless it just for his "resume".

To be so close to Sampras's record and not to even equal it would be sad.

But then there are so many other records -- some totally out of reach, like Connors titles. You can't have em all.

ack, a lot of this polarization happens only after joining this forum. I used to root for Joker against you-know-who once.... I was a balanced tennis fan, once. Now look what a **** they've made me :)

The amazing thing is that nadal is going to be the favorite at the AO. When has this happened in recent times, where the guy entering the 4th leg is actually the favorite?

So it's his to lose and in the fairest and best of all possible worlds nadal will be biting all 4 trophies at the same time at the end of january 2011.

Vamos. :)

Can you be a Real Madrid and Barcelona fan at the same time?

I view city/team sports differently. Don't know much about the World Futbol scene, I'm guessing Madrid & Barcelona are heated rivals, where the fans are rabid & dislike each other? I'm a Colts fan, but I don't hate the Patriots; I can objectively state that I believe they're better than the Colts right now (despite that unPat-like loss to Cleveland yesterday).

Graf won AO, FO, Wim & USO in 1988. Defended AO, Wim & USO in 1989.
And she won FO, Wim & USO in 1995. Defended all three in 1996.

I'm helping Federer really (if he read my post) because there is a danger in Federer placing importance on winning the Singles Gold and also breaking the Sampras Ranking Record, because if he fails at both (and the odds are he will) then he may retire unsatisfied. Whereas if he simply says "Gold medal isn't an aim, I already got the doubles gold" and "Sampras record isn't important to me, I already got the most slams and most consecutive weeks at number one" then its like he'll retire with everything he ever wanted. There is a huge difference psychologically between those 2 mentality paths. It's basically a case of greed destroying him.

Colts vs. Patriots is nothing compared to Yankees vs. Red Sox. I hear those fans really hate each other.

You don't get banned for supporting one player over another.

I hate the celtics b/c some of their players are a jerk. E.g. Kevin Garnett call one of his peer as a cancer patient. Pathetic !!

http://www.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/entry/11838893/25645901
Kevin Garnett on Wednesday denied calling Pistons forward Charlie Villanueva "a cancer patient" in a trash-talking rant during the teams' game the night before.

“I am aware there was a major miscommunication regarding something I said on the court last night," Garnett said in a statement from his representatives released by the Celtics. "My comment to Charlie Villanueva was in fact, ‘You are cancerous to your team and our league.’ I would never be insensitive to the brave struggle that cancer patients endure. I have lost loved ones to this deadly disease and have a family member currently undergoing treatment. I would never say anything that distasteful. The game of life is far bigger than the game of basketball.”

They 'turn' sour?! I thought they were always that way! First, it was Sampras they couldn't stand. Now it's Nadal. I wonder who next! :)

By the way, whatever happened to their love for SoderKing?! LOL!

Wow Bud, you make those ****s turn real sour LOL

They are nuts "it's unfair you don't support Federer, off with his head"
