Del Potro new racket for 2012

There's a 3/8ths on the Bay, if anyone is interested. Fair price - and NO - it's not mine. Just happened to run into it.

Wouldn't trust that at all. No pic, and the title says it all:

Wilson BLX Juice 108 grip 4 3/8 Delpotro New Wilson 2012 Pro Staff 90 95 BLX.

So, what exactly is it? A 108, a 90, or a 95?

I think the guy is trying to keep it lo-pro. He's got 100% for over 300 deals, and if it's not real, paypal will make it right.

What I find more interesting is the guy selling 'pro stock' on the stringers forum, and people send him thousands of dollars - and never get their frames. I'd be more inclined to do a deal on this site with all the inherent protection.

No sweat of my bowling ball. Like I said, I'm not the lister, and since someone gladly paid $500 for a BLX Pro Staff 95, 2 weeks ago, I thought the seller's price pretty decent. And no harm in writing the guy and asking a couple questions, if I was interested.

I got to ser the Full Wilson Catalog. Didn't take any pictures since the New and interesting stuff has been talked about here. But for those of you who like the Surge and haven't seen it I did take a picture of it. No more black and green. It's now black, white and red.

^^
Wish some of these heavier sticks had that paintjob. Very nice. Looking forward to trying the Juice Pro, in spite of its insulting ugliness.

It's possible to remove the graphite (amplifeel) in the handle and replace whith normal pu foam to reduce weight and change balance?

I like the pj, mainly because it has the Argentinean flag colors and the Boca Juniors (football team) which Delpo is a fan of (and me too). Guess that's why they make it that way.

Only problem is that he isn't playing with the new stick or paintjob. Oh, and go FC Oeste!

He is confirmed to be using the juice. when i hit it, felt very similiar to the BLX Pro Tours...... didnt he switch away from those because those were expected to be what hurt his wrist which is why he is back to the 95's...?

Confirmed by whom? If he is using a Juice, why doesn't it look like a Juice? Do a Google image search on Del Potro 2012 Australian Open, and you won't see a racquet that looks like a Juice. And believe me, those pictures are from this year, I've watched a couple of his matches down here (on TV in Sydney, not in person in Melbourne).

This troll attempt is well done.

Doesn't make sense.........his racket doesn't look in any way the juice, you can't say it's a paint job because if Wilson would have its way, they would have wanted to paint it to look like the juice and not some kfactor model that was discontinued...........

i work in a tennis shop here in argentina

yesterday wilson argentina manager came to our shop to say hi and me and my partners ask about delpo´s racket

he said to us...wilson wants him to play with the juice but delpo

delpo wants his k factor because of the paintjob....wilson told him that he could still play with his racket but with juice paint job..delpo said no

he has 8 k factor in his bag and nothing more than that, he will play till all of them stay alive...wilson is not povinding k factor to him anymore

we will see what happen in the next couple of months

I think the irony of this is that his "K Factors" are just paint jobs of his original HPS 6.1 frames.

I don't understand why Wilson wants him to push the Juice. They could just as well let him go on promoting 6.1 95 and it would hardly be a lie.

Again, I may be wrong on this one, but I believe Wilson is pushing so hard because Juice was almost "designed" for DelPo with the Argentine PJ and such.

BOBFL=Robert

Robert Farah was an NCAA D1 player who played #1 singles and doubles at USC from 06-10. I last saw him in Ojai, CA at the PAC10 championships in 2010 against Stanford. Huge server using Pure Drive. I felt ashamed of even participating in the same tournament as him. Very humbling.

In any case, I don't think BOBFL is R. Farah.

If this is true then I doubt we will ever see him smash any of those 8 remaining K-Factors

See, to me, this makes absolutely no sense. He wins the USO in 09 with his K Factor and then for the BLX rollout Wilson decides have him represent the Pro Open whatever frame that he never used and that they botched by giving it a 16x20 pattern. Now he had a better excuse with that one being that he used his old frame because of sensations and wrist sensitivity.

Now here we go again with the Juice. They want to put his face/name with a racquet that does not match in any way with the racquet that he is known to play with. Of course he is not going to like it nor play with it. It is too much of a departure from what he is known to use.

It would make more sense for Wilson to let one of their other players represent the Juice. Sure, they designed it with DelPo in mind but that was a dumb move on their part.

I said before, we have no access to contracts between players and companies so what we can do is assume.

It may be due to the fact when He was signed by Wilson he may have been in a 5 years contract, maybe expiring this year. When He signed, maybe He got paid little to what He thinks He deserves now and maybe not even himself expected to be this good, so He may have tried to re-negotiate the contract but Wilson didn't want to give him more so then He still has to fulfill the contract for the money, but He decided not to use new racquets since He isn't getting paid how much He wanted.

Also He may not like to deceive people/or didn't like that ugly paint job/ or Wilson actually tried to make him use the racquet.

Nobody knows for sure, all we can do is assume, but I think He will go somewhere else where they will pay him what He wants, both parties are unsatisfied at this point.

Wilson's facebook page said something to the effect of:

Due to time restrictions, Del Potro will be switching to the Juice frame following the Australian open, as he did not have enough training time with it beforehand.

Due to Wilson's many updates daily, I couldn't find the exact quote, but that's the gist :)

The way things are going I can see him leaving Wilson.

Then Head will get him and he will switch to the Prestige MP. :D

DelPo actually used the i.Prestige MP in his early teens. I remember there is a video of him playing in a junior-match against Marin Cilic and there JMDP use the i.Prestige MP.

About Wilson pushing DelPo to use the Juice,, well, they also pushed Pistol Pete a little bit, but he stayed loyal to his lovely St Vincents with the original design until.. well.. until BABOLAT let him try a Pure Storm-frame....

After Rotterdam you say?

I just dont understand why he can't stand the idea of switching to a different pj.. .he's obviously using the same frame no matter what... he can't be making nearly as much money with the older pj's..

I think that DelPo doesn't like the idea of being made to represent something that he will obviously not be using. He has been using the 6.1 for so long (and will continue to do so) that he doesn't like the idea of suddenly using it dishonestly.

I don't understand why Wilson wants to push him into representing a frame that is obviously not what he is using when they have other players that can represent it. Yes I know the 6.1 line is represented well enough by Roger but that doesn't stop Wilson from letting other players use them (or the PJ at least). So why not let DelPo carry on with the same frame he's been using?

Just demoed a Juice Pro last week. I thought that the spin was excellent for how closed the string pattern is and that the feel was amazing. Good touch, bomb serves. Groundies weren't as loopy as with my customary APD, but they drove through the court more and were quite lethal. There wasn't a thing about it that I didn't like. Even the PJ looks cool in person.

Only a pj. DelPo will still use his 6.1 95 or whatever from a previous serie (k-faketor ??)
