Haha I really, really doubt Del Potro is going to beat Nadal after taking like a year off and having a wrist injury. Just not going to happen.
Agreed. Lets hope this is not the case.I hope he's not rushing back just to save some points. Wouldn't want him to aggrivate his wrist.
I hope he come back and Nadal can play him two times, including in the USO.
It would be the total reverse of last year when Del Potro took advantage of Nadal coming back from a big injury.

How did he take advantage of him? He played to win and if Nadal wasn't ready, he shouldn't of played.
Would be the same case in reverse then.

I do hope he comes back because then if rafa wins US, noone can say he didn't deserve it! Although the haters can always bring up the fact that delpo is injured, blahblahblah. It looks like he's saying he'll be back after the open though.
So you want del Potro to return and play when he isn't ready to do so?
Neat.
The point at 2.16 makes me laugh a lot. Del Potro looked so goofy retreating to the baseline.

Except Nadal missed only two tournaments. Del Potro has missed over 6 months and has gotten surgery during that time period.
Here's a weird stat. On each guys current 12 month ranking, Nadal has 18 tournaments played and Del Potro 16. So Del Po has missed 6 months and still almost played as many events as Nadal in the last year. Really shows how much Rafa has lightened his workload. Either that, or Del Potro's workload was insanely high before he broke down. Probably a combination of both.
You'd certainly get the impression from the media and what not that Nadal has really lightened his workload. But he's only skipped Barcelona. That's it. So then there's only the two grasscourt tournies missed because of injury.

He skipped playing in Febuary also. So he lost the Rotterdam points he won by playing Murray in the 2009 Final. Rafa has only missed 2 events he planned to play this year(Rotterdam and Barcelona). Unless you add Davis Cup.
Ah yes I forgot about the Rotterdam one. Did he cite injury as the reason for his withdrawal?
Jeez does every piece of news have to relate in some way to Nadal for you Rafaheads?
"This just in...the sun will rise in the east and set in the west"
Rafa fan: "This is great for King Rafa because now there will be no excuse when Rafa wins US OPEN!! RAFA 4 EVER!!!"
Forget Revenge. We should be happy to have a champ like Del Potro back.Good. A chance for some revenge for Nadal.

Great, hopefully Murray schools him again as he usually does. You want to see how to play a mindless ballbasher, check this out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6EMVKFaKHI
Check the last point especially how Murray outmaneuvered the big lad. Hoping to see more of it.![]()
He probably won't be able to a hit a forehand. I think he's rushing to defend his points and his title. Will probably ruin his wrist even more like in AO. Oh well, his mistake.
Grand Slams:
Del Potro 1
Andy Murray 0
Big deal. Just one slam title more. Murray will win many of them over a period of time. Come back to me in five years time.
i think he would be smart enough to know that it is best to sit out if he cant hit a forehand... what do you think this is? this is a professional level tournament not a tennis comp for 5 year olds.
And spider, face it Murray sucks towards the F,SF stages of a GS, if he even gets there that is. I mean Murray has been spanked by Fed and Nadal over and over but Del Potro has been able to do the spanking to the two (as shown in US open).
2015
Delpotro: 6
Murray: 0

He played in AO didn't he? He admitted he was in pain the entire time. Why didn't he pull out? If he wasn't as smart then, what makes you think he's wiser now, especially when he has title defense on the line?
i remember him hitting forehands in the australian open. to tell you the truth i have never ever seen a tennis match where 1 person did not hit a forehand. Being in pain is different to not being able to hit a forehand.
and Spider you said 5 years. With professional treatment wrists dont stay broken for 5 years. heck wrists dont remain broken for 5 years with only normal treatment. Even in the healthiest condition Murray will still fail to win a slam.
