All that matters is who has more of the goods on the day. So far Djokovic has that at a higher level than anyone else ever.

The chances of the two having any sort of lengthy H2H to truly compare them as individuals is next to nil. We're lucky we ever saw them play.

I don't see Djokovic going anywhere the next 3 years or so and its just him and Alcaraz at the top, I think we could keep seeing them meet all the time if they stay healthy lol

Still, three years with their age difference will never give us the needed comparison.

Not much different than the comparatively fleeting overlap of Agassi and Fed/Rafa.

In the end Djokovic ended at 11245 points playing only 12 tournaments - Averaging 937 points per tournament.
While Alcaraz ended at 8855 points playing 17 tournaments - Averaging 520 points per tournament.

Basically Djokovic won everything he played from this thread except Wimbledon where he lost in set 5. Even at age 36, Djokovic was superior to any other player on the tour.

It may be that this year Djokovic loses his ranking. But now Sinner is looking to make a push.
