Too far from the Blue Ridge
I just spoke with Greg? at PK, looking for more info. about the Type C Redondo model. It was previously mentioned that the new Type C is 100% graphite versus 80/20 graphite/kevlar. The Redondo is also made from layered graphite, rather than braided graphite. The rep said the Redondo had received a lot of praise from their contract players/juniors and most favored it over the original Type C. It supposedly plays much softer and smoother with a flex in the 57-58 range. I think Kiefers and others had mentioned the racquet's qualities in another thread. Sounds good to me. Maybe a replacement for that old Head 280, Deuce?

On the PK/pro front, it was mentioned in the Pro Player section that Andreas Seppi is using the Type C 93. Greg also said PK has signed Dmitry Tursunov, though he wasn't sure what racquet he will be using. PK will also be pushing hard to sign more pros and increase that paltry marketing budget in 2006/2007. Great news for big PK fans like myself.

    A not so parallel universe...
    Thanks, Kevin - appreciate it.

I've always liked flex numbers in the 50s.
