Diadem Axis - Svitolina's new racket

Is this racquet copying Babolat racquet? The throat shape is just like Babolat's.

Having the "Aero shape" is like saying "metal rackets" belong to Wilson because of the T2000. Babolat was the first to do it in a mainstream way, sure. But to suggest that all frames featuring one characteristic are copies of the original is a simplistic take.

Remember, Babolat took the Destiny mold from Pro Kennex.

Would like to see reviews. This could be succesor of original aero pro drive
That string pattern is way more open than the original APD. I recently played a APD Cortex and was shocked at the control you could get. Open patterns are over rated!

Might want to think that her racquet had something to do with Svitolina upsetting Paulini last night, but with the way she was playing, she could have paid $5 for something from the local thrift store and won. Perhaps the only time in history that a husband-wife pair each upset the world #4 on the same night.

I've long thought at that level that the racquet and strings only account for 10% of problem, with the player being the other 90%. She also did justice to the very attractive red Adidas outfit (with matching red triple diamond logo on the racquet) and wisely chose a red headband instead of the hideous Mennonite inspired scarf that Diana Shnaider used with the same dress a few days ago. It was perhaps partly Karmic justice imposed by the Tennis Gods that caused Shnaider to lose.

On these forums...it's always the racquet.

I'm also liking the vibes with this cosmetic. It reminds me of the PAVS which was goated

It also looks like Wilson Burn V1, as well.
I mean, I hit with the Babolat Pure Drive Lite. Radwanska's racquet. When she went to Dunlop/Srixon. I was able to purchase that racquet. They felt prettty identical.
Whatever is going on, Elina played very well. That was her going for more winners, more power than I'm used to seeing. Svitolina is the last of that generation of defensive players.. human backboards that included Aga, JJ, Caro..
Her backhand has always been her best shot but everything looked great in the third set.
Diadem just needed someone to get the racket out there. I almost wonder how the contract is setup. Like, a flat amount or maybe depending on how well they do she's like invested in the company?
I know there are some pretty interesting contracts we talked about in the middle 2000s. Not sure how it is today.

I heard the svitolina is a part owner of Diadem…. They are saying they have a big announcement in 3 days… maybe this is it…. You heard it here first!!

Kraibon (black and brown) ribbon. FS2 foam.
Nicola Aracic said it was more mute than his overall stiff-feel he likes.
I think, on paper, the Axis 98 is a straight-up Pure Aero 98 clone, maybe even share the same drilling pattern and string spacing, but has all the Elevate V3 and Novae V3 techs thrown inside the hoop. Of course, I will only take into consideration the opinion of someone who will "Test/promote" it side-by-side with the Pure Aero 98.

In my experience, Kraibon works. It's an improvement for the V3 Elevate from the V2. "Killed" some of the stringbed feedback, but it added stability on serve returns and on volleys.
Interestingly, the Kraibon ribbons were placed dead-centre on the Elevate V3. Here it is placed top and bottom, vertically. Don't know where it is placed on the Nova V3.

Just watched this. I've been following this guy for some years now. This clip, it just doesn't have any info or any structure. The only info I personally got, is that the throat is sharper on the Axis in comparison to the Aeros. The paintjob looks great under the sunlight and also it's not the velvet-rubbery paint I didn't like on the Elevate V3

Yeah, he's a bit all over the place with this one. And he's got to dial back the discount code, affiliate marketing bombardment a few notches. But some good info in there, if you have the gumption to make it through to the end.

Anyone get an update on this? My rep said launch Feb 13th, website now says 28th.
Yes, talked with one of their marketing people yesterday. I was hoping for the same thing--availability on the 13th. The Axis 100 was available yesterday, says that the Team and 98 versions will be end of the month.

The Axis 98 and the Nordicdots Model99 are the only rackets I really want to try. First, I have to get back into playing tennis on a more regular basis, before pulling the trigger on one of these two.

Kk.. you hang here a lot.. you should get out on the court and get some reps in..it's healthier than finger exercises..
Then give first hand experience with these nice rackets you promote..
I think people will listen to your playtest feedback..

It's been raining quite a lot these past weeks.
I'm certainly getting back on court as soon as I can, but I'm also mixing things up with Padel also (no more underarm top spin serves next time)!

But let's be honest, nothing beats the sound of hitting the tennis ball right on the sweetspot.

At this point, I'm able to hit the tennis court only once a week, mostly on weekends, but ill make sure i play tennis somewhere in the middle of the week early mid-day between working hours.

The next time you see Stefano, can you ask him to try out one of your Axis frames and let us know how it compares to the Pure Aero 98, especially w/ the one handed BH?
Thanks.

@JOSHL Briffidi is scoring higher by about 7 pts. I checked my calibration and on the 200 calibration bar I'm getting 198. throwing the Dunlop in the trash

i received my axis 100 in the mail, and as a former wilson steam 99 user, I made the switch to the axis 100. it has all of the feel i am looking for, and that's one of the main factors for me in switching. i don't intend to switch for a while now :)

Just got a hold on Axis 98 for a long term testing. We will see. Strung it with hybrid ProX/Evolution at 56lbs. Tension drop is above mid values, not good.
First impressions are OK in general, but very good on all kinds of serves. Not as controlled as Elevate FS v2, or Babo PS 97 for same 16x20.
Racket shows 3-4mm longer strung than the std. 686mm (27"), I do not know if this is by design Diadem's. W=306gr SW=283kgcm2 (lower than reported).
Stiffness 7% higher than above's FS, will see if it affects arm/wrist playing long.
