Diadem Court Burst - New shoe to the market

Diadem is entering the shoe market with a tennis / pickleball shoe called the "Court Burst". Retail Price is $150.

Seems interesting market for them to get into, and for the price I am not sure how much of an impact they will make compared to the big players in the market.

Agreed. Hope it it's a good shoe.

There is a shortage of decent shoes on the market right now.
Anything that reminds me of the Vapor 9.5s is welcome and these shoes are definitely giving me those vibes.

I have been trying on everything under the Sun lately to find something that feels like the Vapor 9.5s but with more cushioning.
Loved the Mizuno Wave Exceed Tour 5s, Diadora Competitions and Finales, and the Head Speed Pros.
Looking forward to trying the new Hypercourt Supreme 2 and Head Revolt Pro 4.5.

Biggest issue I'm having is finding a shoe that locks my heel in like the Vapor 9.5s did while not being too tight in the forefoot.
I'm feeling that my foot shape must have changed as I get older, b/c I seem to be having this issue with most of the new shoes I've tried on outside of the 4 listed above.

This new Diadem Court Burst "looks" like it might provide me with good heel containment, but not sure how the cushioning will be.
Hope FDZ provides a review on these.

Not very vapor-like but the Court FF3 Asics hold my heel in really well. I also love the fit in general.

Poly blend socks are terrible for heel slippage. If your heel slips a lot you might want to try full cotton. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks Shaolin. I have full cotton socks and blends, but nothing with more than 30% poly/spandex fibers.

I have tried the Asics line of shoes and none of them fit well for my foot. The Res was the only one that felt okay, but a lot heavier and stiffer than my Vapors. The Court FFs felt "weird" in the midsole. Like the forefoot "dropped" significantly from the heel. Like there was a "bump" in the middle of the shoe.

Yeah the Res will be like tanks compared to vapors. Maybe the Speeds? Ive been liking the ubersonics as a matchplay shoe but they wear down fast. Hope you find something that works. Its really hard to find the right shoe.

@babar - I can't remember, had you tried the Lacoste AGLT23? To me it's a Vapor-y shoe but with cushioning that is miles better
I did try the AGLT23s. I even got the Blue ones with the black croc on the side! They look sick!
Unfortunately, I have played in them 4 times now, 2 doubles and 2 singles (total of about 11 hours of use) and my feet hurt every time!
They feel fine just wearing them, but once I begin to run around, my heel starts to feel sore, my feet began to cramp over the course of the match and my feet feel sore for a day or so afterwards. I've never had this happen with a shoe before. I can't explain it or point to one thing that is causing, just know that my feet hurt during and after.

I assume you have already tried the B.Icon but what about the FusionRev or Mondo Forza?
I ordered the B.Icon 2s and wore them around the house for a few days.
Did some shadow drills in the foyer and some jumping jacks and stuff also.
Toebox was too tight. Heel lock down was good, but it was very annoying to lace up every time.
I just didn't gel with them and returned them.

I didn't try the new Fusion Rev because I didn't like the look of them.
Forza's felt okay, but a bit stiff and heavy wearing in the store.

I'm sorry, I am not putting $150.00 into a shoe I might not like. Look, we all know they probably have about $25 in the shoe itself.

I get marketing, "if it is expensive it must be good and if it is inexpensive it must be bad", but charging top of the line prices with no celebrity endorsements, no established customer base, etc., really?

I like diadem, but this is not a good move imho. Why not have an introductory price?

They are selling their frames for $200+ without much endorsement push or pro player hype. Just those of on these boards and YT keep pimping their frames and strings. So, the market will dictate. . . ;)

But you can demo frames. every try to send a pair of shoes back after wearing them on court for 10 minutes? no go.

Well...at this point we have no idea if it is just another shoe out there or the best shoe on the market.
I do agree that the starting price point for the first tennis shoe from them at a VERY crowded market with WELL established players is way off to get a huge interest. They should have started it at $79, still make a decent profit and get the users to flood the internet with the reviews.

I have tried them in the store only.
Felt nice and cushy but the lacing didn‘t allow my foot to feel locked in.
My heel felt like it was slipping and moving too much.
When compared the Hypercourt Supreme 2 to other maximalist shoes in the same US size, what would you say is the toebox width for the similar to?

I went and tried the AG-LT23s in a size 10 today.
Felt better in the toebox compared to the 9.5s I have, but the heel didn't lock down as well. Felt some slippage even when just walking around the store.

Hypercourt Supreme 2 felt great in the store. Toebox was wider than my old Vapor 9.5s but not too roomy to where my feet felt like they were swimming in there. Heel lock down was awesome with the ankle collar and lace tiedown. Love the K-Swiss bubble laces!
The only area the Speedtrac felt better to me was in cushioning. Everything else was better in the HCS 2.0.
I especially didn't like the laces for the Speedtrac once I tried the HCS 2.0s.

Narrowed it down to the Diadora Competition 7 vs the HCS 2.0.
Both feel like similar cushioning and fit overall. The heel lockdown was better with the K-Swiss for sure.
Like the colors of the Diadora Competition 7 better overall, but hard to go wrong with black shoes like the HCS 2.0.

I'll be sitting here flipping coins if anyone needs me.

That coin I've been flipping suddenly has 4 sides now!

I've added the Revolt 4.5 and Diadem Court Burst to the list.
I tried the Revolt 4.5s and they felt very similar to the HCS 2.0s but with better feeling cushioning in the store. Besides that, they felt pretty similar to the HCS 2.0 in fit and feel.

The Diadem might be on the horizon based on a recommendation by a friend who got some and loved them.

I hate finding new shoes. . .

What on earth does this mean?

Q: Does it come in a wide? Or does it have a wide toe box?
A: The shoes do not have a wide option but they fit like a normal shoe so the wide option is not needed.

My buddy who bought the Diadem Court Burst has a narrow foot and he thought they fit great.
Whatever that might be worth. . .

that's so lame. something with more substance can help gain a customer

what is a normal shoe?

answer should have been something...
no wide options but it has a generous fit that people with somewhat wide feet can fit them comfortably. but if you are a EE, they may not work for you.

So, I ordered a pair and received them today.
I think my buddy with the narrow foot who bought these and said they fit great, must be smoking something.

The toebox on these felt soooo wide compared to other shoes I've tried. Everything else about this shoe felt great in terms of fit, except that the toebox was wide and my foot felt like it was swimming in there. Heel lockdown and laces cinching up the sides of the shoes was great. They look very nice in person and the cushioning felt great.

Wondering what the downside of playing with a shoe that is too wide in the toebox would be? Could I get away with it considering how much better the rest of the shoe fits and feels? Hmm. . .?

Is it still too wide if you spread your toes?
So, I changed out the insole with a Spenco sport insole I had in some Sketchers walking shoes I have. Fit much better after that, so this might be the perfect time for me to try out the Move Game Day insoles.

Have you been playing tennis in these? Been a month now. Supposedly has an X-Shaped shank in it:

Are your own feet narrow, medium, or wide in the forefoot/toe area?

If you ever get the chance can you ask them about the toebox width (what they think) please? (did they size up, etc etc...)

Thank you:notworthy:
female player responded. comfy/roomy. tread okay but she does play 4+ times a week. Not sure what models but she said she ordered 1/2 size down for this shoe/adidas unlike her nike shoes.

Haven't heard from the other player (male)
