Hey everyone! Hope 2019 is treating you well. Just a heads up, the Elevate Tour will be coming out later this month.

Elevate Tour (Unstrung specs)
  • 315 grams
  • 315 mm Balance
  • 67 Ra
  • 288 Swing Weight
  • Foam Filled
Solstice Power Main / Flash cross...just saying!

Pics coming soon!

Well, that’s pretty interesting actually, I like the specs. Is it the same PJ? How many strings in the throat? 6 or 8?

yes, I am curious about the stiffness as well.
BTW, May I know the swing wight of elevate? I never have an official number, it feels to me around 315?

Same paint job with a fun little Tour at the end of the Elevate logo.

Sorry for my delayed responses, I didn't get any notifications that we had responses!

The increased weight and stiffness gives players who felt Elevate didn't give them enough, exactly what they are looking for in the Elevate Tour.

Why did you increase the stiffnes? Is 16x20? Beam?

We were trying to give it a but more punch behind it. So we added 10 grams, adjusted the stiffness and balance and got them out to players, we had a lot of players who were on the fence about Elevate or felt it didn't give them enough, Loved the Tour! With it being foam filled it still plays more comfortable than rackets at it's similar RA.

We tried it at it's original RA and did't find it different enough to warrant producing at that spec. You can easily add the weight on the current Elevate as it is set up nicely as platform frame.

Can you comment on the flex distribution?

I felt like non-tour version had stiffer throat, softer head.

You guys make some high quality gear. I have the normal Elevate that I bought before you released the Tour. It plays well stock but I added weight at 3&9 and some tungsten under the butt cap and now it's even more to my liking. Plus I can play 3-4 sets and not feel any arm pain at all. The Impact Shield Technology is the real deal!

Hats off to diadem for foam filling the racquet, makes playing with poly much more bearable. Wish more companies did it rather than trying to cut costs everywhere.

So I ordered one of these without a demo. I have the feeling that it will be just what I'm looking for, but we will see.

I will take a few pics when it gets here.

So I was a bit excited getting mine off to the stringer and I forgot to take pictures. The good thing is that it should be ready for Tuesday night when I expect to play. Received a complimentary pack of solstice power and I'm going to try that at 48lbs.

So I took it out for a hit today. Backhands were very nice. Able to drive through them, but also getting some extra spin I think which helps me out in particular. Had a lot of backhands which would dip in near the baseline. Forehand was a bit of a different story, but I've also had an awkward time with my swing lately. In the sweetspot it was great, nice drive and spin (maybe a bit loopier than I'm used to). Was launching a few too many for my liking, but I'm sure I'll get that dialed in at some point.

Feels great though. Even at 67 it doesn't feel harsh at all. My old DR98 was a bit more buzzy feeling, but this was nice and smooth even when I wasn't always hitting the sweetspot (was an issue on the forehand in particular)

Here we go

How was your hitting experience?
I like it a lot actually. I figured I would which is one of the reasons I ended up buying it without a demo. Although I had demo'd the Prince Phantom 100 18x20 and the Ultra Tour about a month or two ago.

I feel like it does everything pretty well. I'm happy with the power and spin that I can generate from the baseline, and I'm very happy with it up at net. It took a bit for me to get dialed in on the forehand, but I am very happy with it now. Getting good depth, but I can still rip the ball and keep it inside the court. Backhand in particular has been great also. Has helped me with some topspin on the backhand (I often hit it a bit flatter). Can hit some really nasty low skidding slices with it as well. Has an RA of 67 also, but it definitely feels a lot softer. I mentioned before that my old DR 98 was noticeably more buzzy on off center hits. I don't get or feel any bad vibes from the Elevate Tour.

It will be my stick for the foreseeable future, although rumors of a Yonex VCore Pro update later this year might tempt me a bit. I did like the 310g VCore Pro.

That’s great to hear. I’m looking forward to trying it and checking out the launch angle from my first 16/20. It sounds like it’s a great all-rounder and comfortable too.

I’m currently demoing this racquet. I have it strung with hyper g 17 gauge at 50 pounds. It feels stiffer than my prestige mp closer to a pure strike or a pure control tour with a bit more power. I like the power and spin on serve and groundstrokes. I’m still trying to get used to the stiffer feel for volleys and drop shots.

I'm currently demoing the Diadem Elevate Tour strung with Diadem Solstice Power gauge 17 at 22 kg (48,5 lbs) and I must say I really like this stick. It has excellent plough through and good dampening so it feels very solid at serves and groundstrokes.
The grip felt firm and bigger than my Babolat grip in the same size. I also noticed that this stick feels heavier than its weight would suggest.
According to a Diadem representative, the strung swing weight is 325, although this can vary depending on the grip and string type. My Babolat Pure Aero Tour (2016) has a higher swing weight (328 per Tennis Warehouse) but feels lighter.
My volleys and smashes were not so succesful, but neither are they with other racquets ;-)

I was thinking about ordering one of these blind based on specs alone, and stringing with gut. Don’t feel like a demo with poly will tell me much, since I never play with poly. Been looking to replace my KBlade Tours for something a little more forgiving for a couple of years but haven’t been able to really fall in love with any new frames. Like the idea of slightly bigger head, wider beam, moderately high RA but foam filled, and 16x20. Similar swingweight to my current frames.

I’ve played with both those racquets and they are very different. The only similarity is the stiffness. The kblade tour is like a tiny scalpel and more headlight. The elevate tour is close to the pure strike 16x19. It is more like a sledgehammer to bludgeon the ball. It has a modern feel and feels more open compared to other 16x20. Both good racquets.

That sounds like a good description of the Blade v7

I have a non tour version of the elevate customised with leather grip and 12 mm Lead and 8 grams of 6mm lead at 3 and 9 and with its strung RA if 51, it's the way to go.
Its got good power and spin, nice feel and comfort and really beautiful cosmetics.
For the right price a Diadem makes good sense.

I've been playing with elevate tour for few months and liking it so far. Switched to this racquet from VCP 310g cos had shoulder pains with it. I have good experiences with foam filled racquets and this was no different. Its very comfortable for 67 RA and I have no shoulder pain with it.
Upsides:
- good power + spin
- nice control and stable in stock form
- comfortable
- launch angle is bit lower than normal 16x19 racquet which suits my strokes
- cosmetics

I recommend to playtest it.

Only downside is that when I ordered 2 racquets there was 5 grams difference in weight between them. That must be very bad luck.

Hi! Anyone had the opportunity to play with the new Elevate FS Tour and can compare it to the previous version? It is supposed to be more stable and powerful. I hope the SW is not too high... Thanks

Hit with the Elevate Tour demo today.

Appearance: Oval/oblong shaped head, and wide open pattern for a 16x20. The stringbed is more open than my 16x19 Vcore Pro 97. Short handle with little room to extend - might bother some 2HBHs. Paint looks to be high quality.
Hitting: Solid feel, great spin and super flexy. Swingweight felt like 330-335 to me. The listed flex is 67 unstrung which should be about 64 strung, but this racquet felt like about 60. A little too flexy for me as I felt like I had to swing hard to get the depth I want (coming from an Ezone Tour and VCore Pro 330). When I did swing out I got a heavy ball.

Interesting racquet but a little too soft for me to want to make the switch based on my initial hits.

How was the launch angle compared to those yonex rackets?

I think the Diadem have a good range, very concise, foam filled, comfortable and a nice colour way. Would love to seem them make a 325g or 330g stick as a limited run for those who like a nice heavy stick,

Been a little intrigued (half cause of the paintjob, ngl), ordered a demo of both the elevate tour and the nova. Hope to give them a try soon!

It (Elevate Tour FS) is much more muted than the original elevate tour, feels like a different racquet, honestly in terms of the sensation at contact. Other than that it's pretty similar, maybe a little more power. Not sure on the swingweight, but both version were too whippy for me stock, so I added 2-3 grams at 12 o'clock and a leather grip. I switch racquets often, but generally use players racquets weighted to around 12-12.5 oz, 6-8pt HL. I ended up ditching them because the string spacing is just too wide for me, with the outer strings almost touching the edge of the frame, I found the racquet too inconsistent on off-center hits, which I hit pretty consistently as I get older:cool: The Diadem Nova actually has a much tighter string spacing, especially in the center of the stringbed, I have been tempted to go back to playing the Nova or Nova+ for doubles, they just don't caress the ball like you can with the elevates, the ball is more in and out of the stringbed quickly, but still great feel and control for a Pure Drive-style stick!

Nice specs on the Elevate FS Tour!

Can anyone compare to yonex vcore 95 (also 16/20)? Or other common racquet like blade 98/pure strike 98?

There is no demo program locally in my country, but I am tempted to buy online and try it out.
