Diadem Elevate Tour

I’ll let you know once I pick out the exact string and get it done. I usually see the swing weight increase from 22-32 points depending on thickness and exact string. Still surprised in stock form it’s only 2.2 pts higher than the standard.

the hang and time method really only works for matching your racquets together. I wouldn’t trust the SW number it generates.
I have an Elevate Lite that I use for coaching and I would bet that the swingweight of the Lite is in line with that of the standard and tour as well. Pretty weird.

I had sort of ballparked that the swingweight for the Tour strung with Diadem Solstice Power 18 was somewhere in the middle between 320 and 325. Whatever it is, the frame is perfect without customization for my son and what he does right out of the box. Really nice that the quality control is good enough that he can't tell the difference between six frames unless one is strug differently from his standard.

Out of curioity, how did the swingweight measure on the Tour strung? Best I can really do is airswing it vs. frames I know the swingweight of, which is less than scientific. Thanks in advance. I know there are rube golberg methods to figure it out, but some of us don't have the patience for that sort of thing.
My tour strung w Hyper G Soft 1.25 was only 321. I added some weight at 10-2 to make it 325.
I don’t really like heavy swing weights but since i bought a tour and a regular I may as well make the tour a tour. Within 2 points didn’t really cut it for me.

I have a feeling I’ll like the standard much more. This pattern looks pretty open now that it’s strung and 67 RA tour may be a rocket launcher compared to the 64 RA standard.

My kid finds his Tours to be much more controlled and predictable in terms of power, spin, and accuracy vs. his old vCore 98s, Which were also good frames but the Elevate tour is just a better frame for him. And he breaks significantly fewer strings with the 16 x 20 vs. 16 x 19, but no frame is perfect for everyone.

Just wanted to update here that this Elevate Tour is the real deal. I’ve played dozens and dozens of recent generation racquets trying to find that perfect one.
I had settled on the Vcore 95 as the best option for me for the past 6 months+. And while I haven’t quite thrown in the towel on that one yet, I do think I’m making the switch.
This Elevate Tour is truly an amazing racquet. Anyone look for a good racquet and isn’t swayed by marketing (or lack thereof) will be pleased with this thing. Can’t speak about the new FS model.

Agreed; rlly like the ETours. I use reg. FS custom’d to my specs (used to use OG Elevate) due to being more familiar w/ softer flex but I’m considering getting a Tour for when I want more pwr & crisp direct feel.

FS models are rlly similar to the OG’s. EFS Tour plays almost exactly the same as OG ETour; regular EFS is more solid & stable in stock form w/ better playability & is an upgrade all-round from OG model. FS models are more muted/dampened than OG’s due to denser foam, but that’s more noticeable on regular EFS since it’s softer than the Tour. Feel is still good w/ the right strings tho.

I'm really surprised that my kid seems to be the only good junior around here that plays with Diadem stuff. We've been very fortunate to be associated with them. The QC is incredible on the frames, the strings are great, the balls/cart are awesome as well. Their guys listen and are responsive if you want something off-menu and most of their stuff has remained available throughout the supply chain mess. Eight thumbs-up (which I guess makes me an octopus).

Update to a post I made yesterday. Took my son to a different training session yesterday; the other participants were good college and high school players. There were a couple of kids other than my own playing with Elevate Tours and another kid asked to try one of my son's frames and really didn't want to give it back, so a likely convert in that kid.

has any one found the tour to be cumbersome on serves etc or is it relatively quick through the air? I'd be blind buying the EFS or tour, and it seems like people have no complaints about the stock tour from what I have read.

The tour version is pretty playable as-is imo. I feel like the non-tour version might need customization for some players

QC might play a part here. Diadem told me they avg 290 sw unstrung, but i was getting examples closer to 305 sw
i have never gotten one over 292 sw unstrung. How many did you measure out like this? I’m a bit skeptical. What machine do you have?

Original or FS?

i believe the 3 i measured were 293, 298, 305 sw unstrung with plastic still on handle. Elevate FS Tours in L3. measured on a Briffidi

not sure why it's that surprising considering there were folks reporting 300 sw

Going to have to measure again, but I think I have one of the higher swingweight Tours (close to 330 strung with 1.20 poly). Wouldnt even consider adding more weight.

Interesting. Maybe the FS was designed for higher SW. either way 293 to 305 is quite the gap. Unless the target swing weight was 299 and you just managed to get the absolute worst two, that kind of stinks. I’m disappointed to hear it. It’s not that I didn’t believe you. I didn’t WANT to believe you.

I play the original tour and have measured a bunch of them on my Briffy as well and they were all really low swing weights. Negligibly higher than the non-tour so I’ve had to add weight.

regardless this is the best playing frame I’ve ever had and I’ve easily tried dozens of recent models.

As some of you have read in my other posts may know, my kid plays with the Elevate Tour x 6. Recently one of the pros he works with suggested adding some weight to 3 and 9 and slapping a leather grip on it to counterbalance. So we added a full package of those Advantec anti-vibe strips (weight + some sort of rubberized anti vibration substance) to 3 and 9 and slapped on a leather grip. So far, so good; big difference on groundstrokes and volley stability, but it is taking some time to dial in the serve. I keep telling him that any change takes some getting used to, but in general it was good guidance from the pro in question even though these are fairly heavy, nicely stable frames to start with. Will likely do the same to the other 5 frames this weekend. Interestingly, he likes the bare leather grip! Sans the overgrip he was married to previously.

The initial leather grips e tried in the description above were the TW-branded leather self adhesive grips, which were nice, but Diadem sent us one of their leather grips to try (3 grams lighter on the Diadem grip) and the kid liked the Diadem grip better, and I'm no physicist, but the issues dialing in his serve went away in about 5 balls.

Now have 6 of these with Advantec VT strips at 9 and 3 and leather grips. Weigh in at about 355 each strung. Don't know swing weight, but they are now very stable power monsters.

Anyone have any insight into what the specifics of the update I've heard is planned for later this year? Kind of hoping for a little less stiffness and more weight without impacting what makes the Elevate Tour a great frame. And to all the folks trying to compare this frame to other frames, I believe the closest comparison is with the Pure Strike Tour.
