Diadem Sports Racquets

I know it was already discussed in the strings section but I want to make a new thread here for new racquets coming out by Diadem. Was curious and then got this email from them so thought I'd share:

Elevate is the only one of interest for me. Curious how these sticks play and what price point will be. Thoughts?

First thing I think of when I see the Elevate specs (if these are unstrung) is Wilson Blade competitor. No detail on beam width.

Got the email too. Awesome looking racquet indeed. Should be a good tweener/modern player's racquet in the case of the Nova/Elevate respectively. Not exactly my style but I'm sure they'll get that in eventually too.

Let's get the party started!

TW has been sent out frames to try this week ,we are very bullish on them bringing in the frames!

Feedback so far from everyone testing it has been quite outstanding, proud parents we are!

We have launched a demo program in the meantime for anyone interested in being the first to get their hands on these sticks. (Limited stock until August 1 release)

Lace em up and lets hit the courts!

Awesome. Must say you nailed the PJ, best on the market currently (thought that isnt too hard to achieve). Do i take it these are foam filled?

And any idea roughly what your gripshape is like? Rounder like prince, rectangular like head,in between like wilson? Thanks

Nice! I’d love to try them. The Elevate looks like terrific specs ripe for a platform frame

Will they be launched in Australia?

Thanks for the love on the PJ. We have the same sentiments.

Yes, foam filled. Ya i would say the grip shape would be most comparable to a Wilson / Babolat

Elevate Demo ordered - they were out of 3/8, so I'll just put a few overgrips on 1/4.

On paper looks very similar to Ultra Tour...but of course flex distribution and feel can be very different.

Did you pick up the demo?
Nope, tempted but they don't have the right grip size right now. That and I have barely gotten time to hit with my PSTGTs! I am pretty sure I will be ordering very soon though however much I try to stop myself, lol

Yeah, I wanted the 3/8 as well. Look forward to your feedback and pictures/videos if possible.

Oh nice you guys got the demo. Please provide lots of detail after you’ve hit with them
Well I wish I was a good player to give you great feed back...

However,
we dropped it on the scale and everything surprisingly was dead on for a demo... they do have a couple more months before release, but impressive that when a manufacture state on print that it is a certain weight they keep their promise with QC.
The Elevate many see the color way and it looks light... It is not, very solid body and 7 pts HL feel really well to the user. The beams actually feel like a triangular vs oval/squared shaped.

Open the butt cap and it was foam filled, the Nova was not.

I recently strung it up with VS Gut and RPM Blast on this 16x20 (my regular string setup)

Stringing it up was easy as they marked for easy access the Mains Grommets and the tie offs. Does have an indicator for cross tie off. Since it has 20 crosses the starting and ending crosses are on the same side...

The only thing I would recommend is to have a center dot or even put a small Diadem logo in the middle for us stringer... Not the end of the world, but surprised they didnt put one in...

It might be raining tomorrow so.... I am sure others who are going to demo will have way better reviews so take this as a small preview

The beam shape looks closer to older Radicals than an Ultra. Most static specs really don't matter much in todays market full of 300-305g & 320mm frames.

They've caught my attention though - an open pattern Radical filled with foam with a normal rounder handle and on spec... sounds interesting. Also I like the paintjob. Last question remaining for me do they have foam handles or pallets (not fond of the latter).
Ultra Tour is sadly out of my reach - love the feel though, just not good and fit enough to effectively use it. :(

As for the Nova... we all know it's simply a Pure Drive from another manufacturer, but if they got the composition right it might be worth a try for those who use PDs not because they're Babolat and endorsed by pros.

They are foam on the handle also foam filled in the hairpin... I did gut it and ready to do some custom work today.

The NOVA feels very solid i havent really worked on it much however did notnhave any foam in the hairpin like the elevate

All right, demo ordered although only found L2 grip. I’ll just wrap extra OGs and try out this frame

IMHO opinion you should consider also releasing an extended version of the Elevate - +0.25 or +0.5 inch.
I often see people going for prostocks and custom frames like Angell do to lack of XL frames on the market.

Also you might consider a slight improvement in the grommet design so the strings don't sit flat on the side grommets. Just like Tecnifibre did...

The above is not patent protected AFAIK.

Regardless of the above if your spec QC is as good as the poster above wrote, with a good starting range of frames and foam filled frames I think you can take over the players who know good product when they see one.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you guys. We need an honest and reliable racquet manufacturer on the market who cares about what they're selling to us.

Who said they are foam filled? We just know the elevate has foam under the butt cap. Is the elevate completely foam filled @DiademSports?
